Lunch yesterday... Peel an avocado. Finely dice a tomato and take out the liquid and seeds.

Mash the avocado and add in the tomato, garlic salt, and some bacon crumbles. Mix well.

Take a couple rice cakes, spread on the Ricotta cheese and top with the avocado mixture.

It was perfect! And on top of that, Mr. Bruiser LOVES bacon crumbles.....

Then he went hunting up in the pasture...

Yesterday afternoon I went over to Jennifer's to see her new pup... The drive down Jennifer's road was soooooo pretty..

Here she is...   she is soooooo sweet and lovable. She licked and licked my hand!

She got under Jennifer's chair on her blanket....

Heaven wanted to say hi and sniff her...

Keeper is a little jealous and very inquisitive about this new addition...

I have a couple suggestions for names... since she came from Song Dog Kennels... Love Song, or Shy Love, or Shiloh ... or Baby Love.... any name Jennifer picks will be perfect! It was sooooooo hard not to stuff her in my big purse and bring her home! GAWD she is adorable!!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

This is the Bruise... for sure!

Had a chat with Jennifer. She and Mike were in Selma. They had just picked up the "sad puppy" from Song Dog Kennels and Mike ran into the market for a bottle of wine so they could go home and celebrate. This 9 week old sweetie "Love Dog" was asleep in Jennifer's lap. Here is the picture of her when she was 3 weeks old... I can't wait to see her!

The sun was setting.... first photo was 4:15pm and the second was 5:15pm..

Later... ate some reruns, watched some TV. I like the show
Elementary..
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2191671/  with Johnny Miller and Lucy Liu. The only thing that bugs me is his bloody English accent which makes it hard to understand his gibberish sometimes. When he talks fast or in a low voice I can't understand a word! Oh well...............
All I know. Happy Sunday. Nuff said. Ciao.

National Scrapple Day

SCRAPPLE
Scrapple is a breakfast meat product, popularly served with eggs or pancakes—or even by itself, with maple syrup. The product was originally developed to make use of pork scraps and trimmings that would have gone to waste (including the fat, heart, liver and skin). These are combined with cornmeal, wheat or buckwheat flour and spices into a mush, that is formed into a loaf. Slices of the scrapple are cut and pan fried. The result is a breakfast pattie that is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Scrapple is best known as a regional country food of the mid-Atlantic states, particularly the Pennsylvania Dutch region.

Polar Vortex ~ Small Rant ~ Lydia&Gerry ~ Tasty's ~ Dog Treats ~ Cappuccino

Good 51ยบ cloudy overcast no rain in sight morning. That polar vortex in Alaska is supposed to bring it on for the whole country..... we'll see. Never heard of that term before this year... here's and explanation:

Hmmmm..... stand by for the ram! Voters in this country are idiots and have proven it.

Bull-shillary will just take over where BO (or as my friend Cathy calls him, "OVamit"!) leaves off. WE ARE SCREWED! The Republicans have not come up with one good idea for a candidate. What is up with them???? Frustrating. DON'T run Jeb Bush. DON'T run a woman. Run a STRONG man with military background! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa............

Today is a special day for my friend Lydia and her hubby Gerry Plunk .... 39 years together. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS! (I still don't have a picture of you and Gerry, L!)

Yesterday Nancy Perry came by and we went to Grants Pass for a new lunch experience. Tasty's Samich's. Eric is the owner. They are next door to the now defunct The Bistro at 1212 NW 6th Street.
We both had the pastrami with a couple of Eric's homemade sauces. The bun was nice and warm and yummy. Very tasty. Filling too!!!
They have a number of other sandwiches... pulled pork, roast beef.... Great for a quick sit down or take out.

Made a quick stop at PetCo for dog food for Nancy's Skeeter and chicken jerky for my Dude. Walking out the door was Jeannie and Bill. I got to try out a new bacon/cheese treat I bought for Chaka. Purina Beggin' Poppers...
She loved them!! She generally gobbles treats down and swallows them whole. These are small but she chewed them! If your dog likes to jump and catch treats this one is fun.. you take the treat, press it into the spot on the top of the jar and it "POPS" up so your pooch can catch it!

The street was crowded with cars and we discovered an accident had occurred... somebody's car got the rear end smashed pretty good.

Then home to lots of sunshine here and a happy to see mom dog and cat! Dinner was a couple leftover bites, since still full from Tasty's sandwich!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.
