Pork Loin w/ Pasta ~ Rite Way AC/Heat ~

Good  38*  morning. Raining like mad...

Looks like yesterday we got less than 1/8".

There will be more, a lot more, today!

Some cells passed through, sprinkles, hail, and hard rain. Weird.

The afternoon was beautiful...

Maggie and I went to the road for mail and took this
on the way back....
Black and white is always interesting....

Maggie and I went to town early yesterday. I took her in the vet's to weigh. She's lost another pound. I told Joyce how worried I was so to make sure he knows about her weight loss and to see if her meds were based on the 11 pounds more she used to weigh. He also had some over the counter meds there for her to curb the shaking. She actually ate the chewable pill right up! Amazing.

This turkey hen was preening herself sitting on the front fence. I thought she was unique do to her light coloring....

I have to be at the docs for my annual with the cardiologist
so will be out of here by 8am.

John arrived in the afternoon and put a new motor in the
heat/ac unit in the living room.

Took him about 1½ hours. Nice nice guy. Very knowledgeable and thorough. If you need any heat/ac work done, I highly recommend him. His wife Debbie is his secretary. He almost left me with the wrong color receipt and you know he best get it right, because his 'secretary' will be cooking (or not) his dinner! LOL

~ Summit Snow ~ Andy & Linda ~ Flying Pork? ~

Good 35ยบ sprinkley morning.
Yesterday it rained a whole 19/100ths of an inch.

Our summit is lookin' dicey....

Good thing Chuck and Linda went home
yesterday early!

This morning:

Yesterday:

But my birdie friends were out....

....and Mr. and Mrs. Goose were sitting in the
pasture most of the day...

Mr. and Mrs Mallard are also back, but haven't been
able to get their picture yet...

I took the golf cart down to take the trash to the can and put
the can on the road late yesterday afternoon. Shiloh and her parents were just heading out for a walk. She DRUG Gerard with her leash to come see me! So sweet. I got accused of "spoiling" her again. They commented, "She runs away to your house because you give her cookies". Oh sigh......   Later I saw her trailing behind her parents up in their pasture. She'd turn and look this way every few minutes....

Handyman's Rule:
Cut to fit, Beat into Place.
(Works for me. My motto has always been "If it doesn't fit,
force it." Another reason why I wasn't good at stained glass!)

Today John from Rite Way Heating/AC is coming over to replace the motor in one of my heat/ac units. It's noisy. He'll be here this afternoon. Today I'll also have a conversation with the vet regarding Maggie's lack of eating and her lost weight. Wrapped in cheese I have to force her pills down. Imagine! She doesn't even want to eat cheese!!!

Happy Monday all.
Nuff said. Ciao.

~ We need an ARK! ~ Lobster and Steak! ~

Good 42ยบ rainy rainy morning.
Well, Friday the rain started and we got ¼" now it's

almost 1½" and it's still raining..

The weather map looks like the soaking is hitting No. Cal big time...

March 6 is the 65th day of the year (66th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 300 days remaining until the end of the year.

Yesterday I was putzing around the house and saw Shiloh outside. She 'escaped' again from Gerard and Maria. I called them and finally about 40 minutes later the came and got her. She is such a loving pooch. I tried to get a picture of her but she wouldn't sit still!!!

She just wants to be loved and the minute I bent down to take her picture she was up in my face. Funny. Wiggle wiggle wiggle!

Historically this date....
1836Texas Revolution: Battle of the Alamo – After a thirteen day siege by an army of 3,000 Mexican troops, the 187 Texas volunteers defending the Alamo are defeated and the fort is captured.

1964Nation of Islam's Elijah Muhammad officially gives boxing champion Cassius Clay the name Muhammad Ali.
His life story is something else. Varied and convoluted. Refused to be drafted, convicted, reversal by Supreme Court on technical s*it, and given the Presidential Medal years later. 4 marriages, 7 children, some with women he just had affairs with. Stranger than fiction!
This chick can't decide where she wants to live. Back and forth.... Became a citizen here, back to Russia and reinstated as citizen and then back to the good old USA!

"Because all they're selling is fear and anger. And that's all Hitler sold.

1959 – Tom Arnold, American actor and comedian
    Weird weird weird!

Yesterday Patty and Cliff's son, Chuck, and his wife Linda came up from Ft. Jones. They all wanted to go to dinner so we settled on Red Lobster. Ha! The wait as an hour. "Lobsterfest" I guess is the culprit. So we went to McGraths Seafood restaurant.

The celebratory 60 married years kids...

and 'Chuckles' and Linda...

You have to laugh, not only do Chuck and Cliff look alike, matching beards etc, but his mom's eyes... and Chuck and Cliff both ordered the exact same thing! Genes run deep!!!

Good dinner. Mine started with a glass of chard..

then some clam chowder....

and the piฤ—ce de rรฉsistance  was....

We were all stuffed as we waddled out the door. Everyone came back here for a nightcap and some more chatting.

I saved half of my steak and gave Maggie some all cut up. She loved it. Then this morning I cut up the rest and put it in her dish. She won't eat in the morning.... turned up her nose and went outside. In the meantime Mr. Harley ate every piece of that steak!
He's full and napping now!

Brian called late last night to say the birthday party for Sami and her friends wouldn't be taking place today... she and Tucker both had the stomach flu. Poor babies. I hope Jen and Brian escape getting it! Sigh....
