~ We need an ARK! ~ Lobster and Steak! ~

Good 42º rainy rainy morning.
Well, Friday the rain started and we got ¼" now it's

almost 1½" and it's still raining..

The weather map looks like the soaking is hitting No. Cal big time...

March 6 is the 65th day of the year (66th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 300 days remaining until the end of the year.

Yesterday I was putzing around the house and saw Shiloh outside. She 'escaped' again from Gerard and Maria. I called them and finally about 40 minutes later the came and got her. She is such a loving pooch. I tried to get a picture of her but she wouldn't sit still!!!

She just wants to be loved and the minute I bent down to take her picture she was up in my face. Funny. Wiggle wiggle wiggle!

Historically this date....
1836Texas Revolution: Battle of the Alamo – After a thirteen day siege by an army of 3,000 Mexican troops, the 187 Texas volunteers defending the Alamo are defeated and the fort is captured.

1964Nation of Islam's Elijah Muhammad officially gives boxing champion Cassius Clay the name Muhammad Ali.
His life story is something else. Varied and convoluted. Refused to be drafted, convicted, reversal by Supreme Court on technical s*it, and given the Presidential Medal years later. 4 marriages, 7 children, some with women he just had affairs with. Stranger than fiction!
This chick can't decide where she wants to live. Back and forth.... Became a citizen here, back to Russia and reinstated as citizen and then back to the good old USA!

The actor formerly known as Meathead blasted the "tea party" movement Friday night on HBO, comparing its followers to the Nazis."My fear is that the tea party gets a charismatic leader," actor/director Rob Reiner said to applause in front of a live audience on Bill Maher's "Real Time." "Because all they're selling is fear and anger. And that's all Hitler sold.

1959 – Tom Arnold, American actor and comedian
    Weird weird weird!

Yesterday Patty and Cliff's son, Chuck, and his wife Linda came up from Ft. Jones. They all wanted to go to dinner so we settled on Red Lobster. Ha! The wait as an hour. "Lobsterfest" I guess is the culprit. So we went to McGraths Seafood restaurant.

The celebratory 60 married years kids...

and 'Chuckles' and Linda...

You have to laugh, not only do Chuck and Cliff look alike, matching beards etc, but his mom's eyes... and Chuck and Cliff both ordered the exact same thing! Genes run deep!!!

Good dinner. Mine started with a glass of chard..

then some clam chowder....

and the piėce de résistance  was....

We were all stuffed as we waddled out the door. Everyone came back here for a nightcap and some more chatting.

I saved half of my steak and gave Maggie some all cut up. She loved it. Then this morning I cut up the rest and put it in her dish. She won't eat in the morning.... turned up her nose and went outside. In the meantime Mr. Harley ate every piece of that steak!
He's full and napping now!

Brian called late last night to say the birthday party for Sami and her friends wouldn't be taking place today... she and Tucker both had the stomach flu. Poor babies. I hope Jen and Brian escape getting it! Sigh....
All I know. Nuff said. Ciao.

~ Earrings ~ Patty & Cliff ~ Cheese Doodles???

Good 44º raining morning. Rain started last night and sounded like it rained all night. We've gotten 1/2" so far. I sort of knew this would happen...

Yesterday I worked on 'projects'. Earrings for St. Paddy's was one of them. I haven't gotten out my jewelry making stuff in a long time! It was fun. These aren't fancy, just super simple ...putting a charm on an ear hook...

Patty called in the afternoon and she and Cliff were going to be at the Eagles for a drink and would I join them. Yes! I stopped at the local florist and got Patty a corsage and Cliff a boutonniere.
Headed to Grants Pass...

Patty gave me one of their wedding pictures to copy ...
she laughed at the ones I posted yesterday but thought
I should have a "real" one of them...

How darling they were!!! 1951!!!

I had a nice time visiting with them and another couple, Barbara and Walter. Then the 4 of them took off for dinner. I was coming by the car wash and since it was still open (5:30) I decided to stop and get the beast cleaned.

THAT is why it has rained ever since!

I had made another chicken in the crockpot and Maggie and Harley had some of that for dinner. It's about the only thing Maggie will eat. Ok, I can do this, a chicken every few days for my girl.  I also cooked yams, as the vet said they are good for dogs and Maggie does like them!

~ Patty & Cliff ~ PatT ~ HUG a GI Day

Good 38º morning. Very cloudy. Got .17" rain yesterday. Just enough so you had to turn on the windshield wipers every couple of minutes or so.....

 :o)

So, yesterday was exciting as they come... Maggie and I went to town. I took her by the vets to weigh in. OMG, she's lost 10 pounds since on the new meds. She has NO appetite. She doesn't even want treats! Left a note for the vet. Then to the pharmacy for more Zicam, Musinex, and Maggie's allergy pills. The market for dog food, cat food, a chicken (went straight into the crockpot) and St. Pat's headgear for Maggie's St. Paddy's Day photo! (you will have to wait for that!). Maggs and I stopped at Dave and Pat's to feed the fish out back in the big water trough.  They were happy happy happy.... One of these days I'll remember to get a picture!

I am so disgusted with my printer I ordered a new one from Dell. OMG, it was cheaper and had more bells and whistles than any of them at Staples! Yeah. And it's wireless, prints, scans, and faxes. Interesting. Will be here in a few days, and even FREE shipping!!!

Looked like this most of the day... and rained on and off...
