Weather ~ Bruiser ~ Torani Syrups ~ 1980's LASD Recruitment Video ~ Buttermilk Biscuits

Good 56º cloudy morning.

Last evening we got lightening and thunder. Then about 8:30 the rain poured down. It all only lasted 10-15 minutes. Prior to the thunder and lightening we had some hefty winds.
Yesterday about noon...

And then about 6:30 prior to lightening storm...

While I was out taking pictures, Bruiser was out for a "hunt"..

Yesterday was a "day off". I did some laundry and put away the rest of my Costco 'stuff'. Breakfast was an Asian Chicken wrap, fresh mozzarella, and some tomatoes...

I really like several of the Torani sugar free syrups for my coffee (Egg Nog, Irish Cream, Cinnamon, English Toffee, pumpkin pie, chocolate) but my fav is Peanut Butter. I ran out and checked the prices on Amazon and also on the Torani site as well. Amazing, the bottles were 1/2 the price at Torani as they were at Amazon. I ordered 3 of the 25oz bottles and even with shipping it was half of what Amazon charges (free shipping with them!)

I also have several of the fruit and melon flavors that make good drinks with vodka or gin. Check their site and they have recipes for many kinds of drinks, with alcohol and without....   www.torani.com

I watched this LASD recruitment video from the 1980's with so many people I know in it....

In this one... Chris Miller front seat and behind him Maria (Holm) Myron....

Maria (Holm) Myron ....

Max Bickley ....

Sheriff Sherm Block ....

Harry Porter....

Anyway, the video was fun.

Dinner was reruns. Had a good chat with a couple pals. Then Dave called, he won't be able to brush-hog today or tomorrow. A problem with his tractor and he will be working on that. He'll be here next weekend.

Then it was chair, wine, TV.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

HAPPY Saturday to you, too.

I heard the other day LAPD is buying some Tesslas- that ought to be good for recruitment):-

Nothing says love better than homemade buttermilk biscuits.

Nice LAPD can afford the Teslas. They are as expensive as an Escalade! xo

Looking at that Sikorsky helicopter reminds me of when John was in SEB. They had to repel out of them at 60' in the air. He said some of those guys would nearly cry and faint from fear. I would too! :( Then at times when they would take off, it would catch on fire and they had to land again. lol Scary but that's what you had to do to be in SEB.

Loved Bobby Darin's songs. My first boy friend had a light blue Chevy Bel Air. On the side was written "Splish Splash". I loved those days when the kids named their cars.
