Good 48º clear sunny morning.
On a sad note, my friend Trish Bowler's mom, Ruth, passed away last night. T's husband is John Bowler (LASD Ret.) My heart goes out to you Trish and to your family. May she rest in peace. (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))
So, "Marmaduke" has gone home to be with his family, but is missed here. I did a short video of At-ta-less (as my grandson, Jack, would call him when he was little) .... Atlas:
The more I watched that video and listened to my voice, I thought, OMG I sound like my friend Sandy (Todoran) !!!
I guess we take on aspects* of our friends/spouses when we spend a lot of time together!
1. appearance to the eye or mind
2. nature; quality; character:
3. a way in which a thing may be viewed or regarded
4. part; feature
5. facial expression; countenance
.... and then there is Maggie:
..... and of course the former "Casper" and "Baby" and now he's called "Baby Bruiser" .... (he's black and white like a radio car.. or as the 'Troopa's' call them "cruiser" but in NY they pronounce that "crew-za"..... ergo, Bruiser!
Historically this date.......... OMG!
.... lots of Masonic stuff in my family.. Daddy was Master of El Sereno Lodge 588, Mom was in Eastern Star, my sister and I were in Job's Daughters Bethel 103, Daddy was 32º Scottish Rite:
1866 – New Orleans's Democratic government orders police to raid an integrated Republican Party meeting, killing 40 people and injuring 150.
... yeah, that is a good idea. Because they are integrated, kill 'um!
1956 – A joint resolution of the U.S. Congress is signed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, authorizing In God We Trust as the U.S. national motto.
.......oh yes, and now the Dems want to change that~!
1965 – U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson signs the Social Security Act of 1965 into law, establishing Medicare and Medicaid.
......yes, and now the arrogant idiot in the White House and his cronies in the Senate want to abolish Medicare!
1971 – Apollo program: Apollo 15 Mission – David Scott and James Irwin on the Apollo Lunar Module module Falcon land on the Moon with the first Lunar Rover.
1975 – Jimmy Hoffa disappears from the parking lot of the Machus Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, at about 2:30 p.m. He is never seen or heard from again, and will be declared legally dead on this date in 1982.
And births this date includes....
1947 – Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austrian-born American actor, bodybuilder and politician, 38th Governor of California ....and wife-cheater and hired help-coitus-er! LOL
.... no changes here!
.... love the twinkle in his eyes!
The problems we face today
are there because of the people
who work for a living are
outnumbered by those who
vote for a living.
All I know. Nuff said. Taking my truck in for oil change/check up and then Jeannie picking me up and going shopping and to lunch! Whoot. Girl's day out! Ciao.

1 T. melted butter or margarine
3 pkg 8oz size cream cheese
1 t. vanilla extract
1 c. sugar
2 c. dairy sour cream
1 T. sugar
1 T. vanilla extract
1. Preheat oven to 375º. Make crust: in med bowl combine the 3 ingredients, mix well. Spread evenly over bottom of 9" spring-form pan, pressing lightly with fingers. Refrigerate while filling is being prepared
2. In large electric mixer bowl, at med speed, beat cheese until light. Add eggs, vanilla, and sugar, continue beating until creamy and light. Pour into crust and bake 35 minutes.
3. In medium bowl with wooden spoon, beat together sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Remove cheesecake from oven, spread on topping evenly and bake another 5 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Then refrigerate 5 hours or overnight.
4. Remove sides of spring-form pan, cut into wedges.
To easily make gram-cracker crumbs: put 10 crackers in zip bag and crush with rolling pin.
NOW for the easiest cheesecake ever... no bake:
8 oz Mascarpone cheese
1/2 container Cool Whip
2 T. honey
Put into 3 wide long stemmed glasses (red wine glasses) or wide-mouth 1/2 pint canning jars... Slice strawberries and macerate in Triple Sec or Gran Marnier ..... or macerate blueberries and raspberries in sugar and dark rum...
To serve: strain berries and spoon over cream mixture. HEAVEN! Serves only 3, so you may want to double or triple recipe!
