Leaves! ~ Pork Chops & Tabouli ~ Brian & Jen

Good 43ยบ morning. Pressure going up, but report says 60% chance of rain today. We'll see. Sunrise yesterday was pretty...

So then, I wanted to blow/vacuum up leaves in the yard, but when I went out there it was "raining leaves". What would have been the point?

Went to the market and got stuff for Thanksgiving. I also picked up some tabouli (or tabbouleh), pork chops, ground beef, & mac & cheese ingredients. Decided on the pork chops for dinner since Jeannie and I had been discussing that. My way for juicy and moist but crispy outside chops is the following...

Put olive oil, or your favorite oil, in a frying pan and add the chops and drizzle them with the oil. Then fill the pan to just cover the chops. Turn the heat on high. Boil out the water, add a bit more oil, and fry until crisp. Never fail perfect chops!

Prior to cooking the chops I made the tabouli. (add oil and hot water to the pre-cooked bulgur/parsley/onion/mint mixture, stir and put in refrigerator for an hour.) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgur ) I chopped up some tomato and celery and added that to the tabouli along with lemon juice.
(If you can't find packaged tabouli you can make your own:
Perfect!
