Good 53º pink clouds around morning. Hit 99º here yesterday. Going to be 93º today, or so "they" say. Then cooling to the 80ºs for the weekend.
Happy Throw Back Thursday
My neighbor Roger and I on sawhorse ponies... 1954
Yesterday I went into Grants Pass and got the new lens put in my glasses. OMG, I can see my computer screen sooooo much better! I wore my red shirt that has sparkly glasses of wine on it and it says, "At my age... I need glasses". They guys who assemble the glasses loved it!
Then to the Dollar Store, Grocery Outlet, and Big Lots to shop for a basket I promised to put together for our JCRW Ronald Reagan BBQ in Sept. The baskets are raffled off and the proceeds go to our scholarship fund and for flags for schools and copies of the Constitution for 9th graders. When I get it, well... not a basket, but a canvas carrier, all put together I will take a picture. I got some fun stuff for it. I stopped at Elmer's. I had a coupon I paid $10 for good for $20 worth of food and drink. I ordered a glass of wine while I waited for my "to go" BLT Crab Salad... Lettuce, hardboiled egg, avocado, bacon, tomato, olives, and crab. OMGOOOOD!!
Dinner on Tuesday was a "clean out the fridge meal". This was SOOOOOO good!!
One can each of pigeon peas, sliced mushrooms, artichoke hearts, chicken (Costco), a zucchini and cherry tomatoes and a pepper from Jeannie, some stir-fry veggies, and bacon crumbles (also Costco).
Everything went into the pan that had been drizzled with olive oil... let slow cook with lid on until veggies tender.
Meanwhile cook the pasta... I just LOVE this cut spaghetti for so many recipes..
Then, put spaghetti in pan and the cheese sauce and bacon. Stir and heat through.
Absolutely OMGOOOOOD!!! Will have some for breakfast!

Then when it was "dog day" it should also have been "cat day". The Bruise comfy on the center of my desk resting his head on the mouse!
Mr. Bear has not been back. That WD-40 must be doing the trick! Sprayed my trash can too. A couple years back the bears were on a mission to go through everyone's trash can. The trash pick up service said dumped out cans were all over the place!
All I know. Happy TBT. Nuff said. Ciao.
