Tucker's Game ~ Skunk Smell ~ Charlie ~ Kitchen Klutzes

Good 47º cloudy rain a possibility morning. I doubt it will rain. Haven't washed my truck in a week or so!

Missing Atlas.... that will go on for a long while.

Tucker's last baseball game of the season was Tuesday evening.
One of the players on the opposing team hit a ball over the fence so all of Tucker's team was looking for it....
Sami enjoyed a frozen pop.... they do such a great job of leaving color!
Tuck's team lost by 1 point, but the winning team was happy, their second win only all season! Then my Brian Jen Tucker and Sami had to go home to a house without Atlas. Sad.

Found this picture yesterday... made me smile... Harley and Atlas..

Had a strange thing happen a few mornings ago... I woke up, had windows open all night and could smell a faint hint of skunk.
Thought weird. Then I wondered if there was a marijuana grow around close by.
When I went outside and came back in the smell was inside the house! OMG. When Aaron, landscaper, was here he was standing outside the screen and said he could smell it too. There is no way for a skunk to get under the house except for the under the front porch... through the lattice. The rest is blocked off.....
OK, then. So I decided since WD-40 keep crawling insects, flying insects, away and mouse/rat critters out from under the hood of my car I decided to spray the lattice all around the porch.
The smell is gone! Amazing. Skunks emit that odor just by peeing... so if one had been under the porch and pee'd ....... Now hopefully he/she won't be back!

Yesterday morning was 39º when I got up. Ice on the barn roof! Warmed to 46º but 57º inside. Turned on the heater!!! I love Oregon... heater in the morning, AC in the afternoon!

Today is the birthday of a special friend, Charlean Gottesman Allen.(ret LASD)  "Charlie" worked Temple Station with Jerry. Was up here visiting last year. Fun to gab about all the memories. Here is Charlean with her granddaughter Harper.
HAPPY BRTHDAY CHARLIE!

If you haven't tried the new Philly Cream Cheese spread, jalapeno flavor, you need to!
It's wonderful!! It has the best jalapeno flavor and leaves a tingle on your tongue. I can see making a cheesecake using that!  Or... making a cream cheese cake. Cooked in a loaf pan. Mmmm... will work on that!

All I know. Nuff said. It's Thursday. Ciao.

Kitchen Klutzes of America Day

There's a difference between home cookin' and a home that's cooking. If fire, knives, hot metal, and boiling liquids spell "DANGER" in your kitchen, you are an unofficial honoree of Kitchen Klutzes of America Day. Broken glass, spilled milk, slick wet floors, all of these are harbingers of heartbreak for the dyed-in-the-wool Kitchen Klutzes of America!
