People who died too young... These I didn't know. Did you?
Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer of the original Little Rascals died at 31 when he was shot and killed over an argument concerning $50!
Michael Garber known as Michael Banks from Mary Poppins died at 21 from Hemorrhagic Pancreatitis caused from contacting hepatitis in India the previous year.

Later I decided on starting fixing my dinner early. Wanted a salad with lots of veggies and salmon and homemade dressing.

So, re-hydrated some green beans, diced potatoes, mushroom slices, peas, and celery..

Then I stir-fried some broccoli stir fry (LOL) with lemon infused olive oil and a little water and garlic salt. When finished, just al denté, it went into the colander...

Next I chopped a green bell pepper and cut the canned artichoke hearts in half... into the colander they went too...

I added all that and the re-hydrated veggies to a big bowl and refrigerated.
The dressing was 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup O Olive Oil ( http://www.ooliveoil.com/ ) Orange Blossom Champagne Vinegar, 1/8 cup lemon juice, 1 tsp Trinidad Lemon Garlic, and 1 tsp lemon salt (sea salt & lemon flavor and tumeric). Whisked well and put in jar in fridge...

Kept in the fridge until I was ready to eat.
Then I put some fresh baby spinach in the dish, sauteéd veggies, re-hydrated veggies, and half the can of salmon... Topped with the dressing. Had a rice cake to go along with.

Mutt's Day
This was my Lucy. She was a mutt.... half Collie and half German Shepherd

....and of course Dude is a mutt.....half Lab and half Rottweiler

It's Mutt's Day.  Mutts deserve their day in the spotlight, as much as a pure breed. If you own a mutt, or you are a mutt (reading this), then you know this day is for you.

By definition a mutt, sometimes called a "Half-breed", is a dog that is of mixed breed.  They come from two to several breeds. Purebred owners, and sometimes the public in general, view them as lesser in many ways. Mutt owners know better. They value the diversity and uniqueness of their mutts. Sure, a mutt doesn't carry the expensive price tag that a purebred with papers has on its head. To the mutt owner, however, the mutt is invaluable. In addition, mutts don't walk around needing to prove anything. You won't see them strutting around any dog shows trying to prove they are the best.

To all mutts and and mutt owners, we hope you thoroughly enjoy Mutt's Day. Spend the day relaxing and doing all the things you and your dog like to do. Do so with both of

Throwback Thursday:

First thing yesterday (7:45) Dude and I went to Dave and PJ's to turn on the sprinklers. We went back in a while and watered the potted plants and fed the fish. Man were they hungry! Thought they were going to jump out of the pond after the food! Their garage duo:

Today is a special birthday.. Dennis Richardson who was our Republican candidate in the governor's election.
Sadly he lost. Right after the election the governor Kitzhaber (Kitz-blabber!), a creep, resigned because there was/is a scandal re his girlfriend (who lived with him after wife #1 and #2)) and the criminal investigation of the roll she played in his administration... I'm sure he waited until after the election to make his resignation or else Dennis would have won. The governor's spot was taken over by Kate Brown, former Secretary of State. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENNIS!
On that note of politics that sucks...
The problems we face today
are there because of the people
who work for a living are
outnumbered by those who
vote for a living.

Yep! Goodell is a jerk!

Yesterday the Trees Inc folks were here early (this outside my gate...)

and started in back where they were yesterday and the other crew went up the road back towards the BLM... trimming and trimming.

I found out that Ana was made a supervisor or foreman or whatever her title is, just yesterday! Cool Anna!!! These guys came up here in force... by 1:45 there were 5 big units and a supervisor .. bucket trucks, water tenders, and trucks with the chippers.... And then more arrived!

Suddenly a tire company truck went up the road and then here comes a supervisor....
At 3pm they all started leaving... apparently one of the rigs had a flat... the tire truck came back along with the rest of the trucks, chippers, and water tenders....

Here is Anna driving her rig...
They were all leaving and my plumber, Mike Artoff, was coming up the road.. My sink stopped up! It was a busy day for Mike but he managed to get by here. Thanks Mike!!!

Later dinner was a combo of leftover spaghetti that had mushrooms and fake crab and a bunch of fresh vegetables. Sauteé the veggies in olive oil, garlic salt, and a little white wine..

SUPER Good!!!
The moon came over my mountain about 9pm...

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.
