TBT ~ Shadow of Bruiser ~ Canter T's ~ Alex Models ~ Mary & Gil ~ Overnight Oat Breakfast ~ Doe & Fawn

Good 33º clear morning.
The sun came out, but it only warmed to 65º yesterday. Quite windy most of the day. Looks like no rain in the forecast ....

Happy Throw Back Thursday. You LASD folks remember this?

Yesterday morning, I was waiting for Dude on the back porch, to come back from his "duties" in the trees. Bruiser laid down on the cement, waiting also. Thought these pictures were neat!

I love the way the shadow is so interesting!

Here is a site that is collecting $ for Kristen's Cancer Fund by selling t-shirts...

I had sent Kristen some hats for her lack of hair.....
... still, it's too hot in So. Cal to wear them. But if she goes out at night she might wear one!  Alex modeled the hats...

A special anniversary today... Mary (Fancher) and Gil Zavala... Wilsonites. Celebrating 49 years!    CONGRATULATIONS kids!

Here is an easy make ahead breakfast ...
Overnight Oats:

1 cup oats
1 cup milk (your choice, skim, 2%, almond, etc)
1/2 cup raspberries (or whatever you like)
slivered or sliced almonds
1 T maple syrup
In a mason jar or bowl add 1/2 cup of the oats, then 1/2 cup milk. Next add 1/2 T of maple syrup, a sprinkle of almonds and 1/4 cup raspberries. Repeat. Place lid on container, store in refrigerator overnight. In the morning take out and enjoy!  From www.mom4real.com
Was fixing a rerun dinner of the loaded cauliflower and wanted more... so I cooked some angel hair pasta and roasted a few carrots...

When I went to my desk to get my camera I saw a doe and fawn resting in the shade of the barn...
BTW, sometimes a little comment from folks after I put so much time into my blog is nice. Either on the blog itself (comments at bottom) or email or on FB. I know you guys read it and like it, but comments are a moral booster! Just sayin'.................... ♥
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

Clouds & Sun ~ Computer ~ Loaded Broccoli ~ Shrimp Scampi

Good 50º very cloudy morning.

Yesterday wasn't as warm. By 3pm it was 77º. Beautiful day.

I ordered a new Photoshop from Amazon and could not get it to load. Got so frustrated after the guy at Adobe remotely got in my computer and told me it had trojans and problems. I took it to Turk in the morning. He looked through it thoroughly and said it does not have trojans. He said all the codes on the disc box for Photoshop were wrong. They did not send the correct one. He loaded my old Photoshop and I went on my merry way.

Came home and "ran 5 miles". He enjoyed it. Saw this little lizard enjoying the warm day on the log over the creek by the road...

Dinner was a re-do of the Loaded Cauliflower only I used broccoli! Cook the broccoli in boiling salted water for only about 4-5 minutes. Not the 8 minutes like the cauliflower.
Drain and cool...

Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, sriracha (only if you like the spice), paprika, pepper, cheese, mushrooms, bacon, and I added in some baby spinach.

Add in the broccoli and mix well. Put into 13x9 pan.... top with more cheese and bacon crumbles...

Bake 425º for 25 minutes...

DANG this was GOOD!!!!

Ok, to make it a "one pot meal" add in some cooked chopped chicken, or fish (halibut or shrimp or tuna...) or cooked ground hamburger (turkey or chicken), or canned chicken (Costco). Also you could add in some chopped green chilies. Whatever flips your skirt. Use your imagination and experiment.
Later I got the return mailing label from Amazon to return the Photoshop program.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.
