Bruiser The Watcher ~ K9 Saves Officer ~ Dog Walking ~ Errands ~ Mac & Cheese Makeover

Good 23º frozen morning. HEY AL GORE .... Globalwarmingmyasss!!!!!

My Bruiser loves to sit up on the computer and keep and eye on me... between naps!

Here is a video of a police K9 saving an officer's life. Amazing dog. Graphic. This came via Michael OHara (LASD ret) via Bill Postmus (LASD ret) via Terry Bonyea (LASD ret). Thanks guys!!!
The dog in the video is a Belgian Malinois. As I told Terry we had a K9 Deputy when I worked Lakewood. He would come into the desk area and the dog would head straight for me and put his head on my lap. I loved that dog!!!

Now this is funny... shared by my friend Erika.... so true!

Historically this date...
1863 – Arizona is organized as a United States territory.

My aunt was born in 1907 in Cananea Mexico when my grandfather was working down there as a mining engineer. Later she could have said she was born in Arizona, since it was a Territory and they didn't start keeping birth records until 1912. But, she was honest and became a 'naturalized citizen' in later years, but did grow up in Arizona in Bisbee. My grandparents were still Scottish citizens, not American. He was a mining engineer for the Lavender Pitt copper mine in Bisbee after Pancho Villa's men told them they had to leave Mexico since they weren't citizens of Mexico.

1942 – The Battle of Los Angeles, one of the largest documented UFO sightings in history; the event lasted into the early hours of February 26, 1942. Interesting.

1968 – Vietnam War: The Tet Offensive is halted; South Vietnam recaptures Hué.

1980 – The United States Olympic Hockey team completes their Miracle on Ice by defeating Finland 4-2 to win the gold medal.

1989 – United Airlines Flight 811, bound for New Zealand from Honolulu, Hawaii, rips open during flight, sucking 9 passengers out of the business-class section.

.......no public appearances in years, except for the following photo taken off the Oprah show ... The father committed suicide in the 80's.

Yesterday I went into Grants Pass to have my new crown checked. There was a tiny bit of cement still on it and it had been driving me nuts! Can't keep your tongue off something is your mouth that is not the norm! Ahhhh... better now. Then to the Elks to pay my dues, Brian's office to drop off magazines, post office to pick up the Patriots drinking glasses I ordered
,
market for Brussels sprouts and Italian sausage (next meal experiment!), and pharmacy for Rx. Sunny yesterday and warmed to the 60ºs!

Dinner.... the leftover Crock*Pot mac and cheese with veggie soup.... I put it in the casserole Crock*Pot on warm.

I got some shredded white chicken in buffalo sauce (Costco). Dumped that in on top of the mac & cheese...

In the mean time I boiled the mushrooms in heavily garlic salted water...

The same thing with the mini squashes.....

I added some fresh spinach to the casserole...

Then I added in the drained squash and mushrooms... stirred well and heated through on low...

AWESOMELY GOOD!!!! That chicken has just the right amount of spicy!!!

All I know. Happy Tuesday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Did you know? The corn chip recipe was brought to the U.S. from Mexico by Texas businessman Elmer Doolin.
