Soba Stir-Fry ~ Red Tailed Hawk/Finches/Turkey ~ Admin Professionals Day

Good 49º cloudy , looks like rain coming, morning.

The Red Tailed Hawk has laid 3 eggs, two have hatched...

My latest cooking adventure was sort of a repeat of my crab/soba noodle stir fry......

Asparagus, broccoli slaw, onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, soba noodles, orange juice and some pulp, fake crab, grated ginger, and chives ....

Sauté the garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes....

Add all the rest of the ingredients except the noodles and flavoring packet...

Heat the noodles in the microwave for a minute to soften, break apart and add. Add the flavoring packet and water. I added about 1 cup of water... until all moist.

.... and if fake crab isn't your cup of tea, then substitute with raw or cooked shrimp, cooked chicken, canned or fresh salmon, whatever sounds good!

Yesterday the finches were here in droves.......

and Mr. Tom was strutting his stuff...

I got an email from my friend Dan Patz (LASD ret) who told me I was a dummy. Well, not in those words. He was VERY kind and pointed out I had my Waspinators hung upside down! I am a dummy! I know which way they hang when the wasps make them, but duh................ there was a string so I hung them with it.... never paying attention to the little loop at the other end. Got them right now. BUT, even upside down, the yellow jackets and wasps left the area!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Off to Medford and to Costco and anywhere else that sounds fun! Ciao.
