How about this for a Super Bowl    ..... My friend Liz O'Connor, also my dental hygienist, posted this on FB. OMGOODNESS... it looks/sounds soooooo good!
Ruben Bake
2 tubes (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
1¼ pounds sliced deli corned beef
1 can (14 oz) sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
2/3 cup Thousand Island dressing
1 egg white, lightly beaten
3 t. caraway seeds

Unroll one tube of the crescent dough into one long rectangle. Seal seams and perforations. Press into the bottom of a greased 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Layer with half the cheese and all of the corned beef. Combine the sauerkraut and salad dressing and spread over the beef. Top with remaining cheese.

On a lightly floured surface, press or roll the second tube of crescent rolls into a 13x9 rectangle, sealing seams and perforations. Place over cheese. Brush with egg white, sprinkle with caraway seeds. Bake 12-16 minutes, or until heated through and crust is golden grown. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Serves 8

Later when the sun FINALLY came out I took Dude for his run and took the trash to the road for pickup today.

Dinner was reruns. Chair, wine, TV. No Golden Globe Awards show. Too much Hollyweird for me. Blue Bloods and a Hallmark movie. Actually I was changing channels and saw a few moments of the GG. Lady Gaga (GAG!) was announced for an award. She left her seat next to her finance, Taylor Kinney, and when she took the mike she thanked a ton of people but never mentioned her finance. I thought it weird. More like super self-absorbed. Just a few minutes ago I read an article when the reporter thought it odd she left Taylor out of her thank yous!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.
