Memorial Day Tribute ~ Boat Races & Friends ~ Jazz Day

Good 48ยบ high cloud morning.

Looks like we are in for some summer weather!

The Memorial Day tribute yesterday was great. The Army Guard positioned three tanks on the Grants Pass Bridge, unfurled the flag as the Star Spangled Banner was sung, an F-15 flew over, a 21 gun salute, a local minister offered a prayer, and a wreath was placed in the river in honor of fallen military accompanied by a moment of silence. Can you imagine..... a public prayer! I guess the liberal left hasn't heard about us up here yet!

Thank you to 'my Marines' Jerry and Brian and my Italian son Alex Corsaro for their service to our country!

Jerry was not only a Marine, but served with the California National Guard. (yes, cigar and all!)

Thank you to my Daddy for his US Navy service in WWI, to my brothers-in-law, Bill Plumbridge & Joe Mueller, for their Navy and Army service, to my nephews Bob & Jim Plumbridge for his Navy service and my friends.... Bill Patterson, Greg Lundell, Jim Harper, Dale Yellin, Joe Kirk, Dan Patz, Jon Austin, Terry Bonyea, Mike Centofante, Don Davies, Sally Harwell, Lynn Helbing, Moon Mullen, Mel Nix, Spike Dammer, Ben Hunt, Rod Johnson, Gabe Ramirez, Ron Wisberger, Lynn Crowell, George Hill, Norm Spencer, Gar Austin, Moon Mullin, Jim Pierce, and our Rogue Valley Marine Corps League members. Thank you all!

The boat races were fun, noisy, but fun....

.... and I had a great time with my friends...
Sherrie, Paul, Jeannie, Bill, Dee, and Dale...

Then to Brian and Jen's later for a great BBQ.... more on that later.

Today is Bob Hope's birthday and John F. Kennedy's.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Nuff said. Ciao.
