Picture of the Day ~ PJ-Jack-Jimmy ~ Monkey Style ~ Canada Day

Good (ick) 61º clear and sunny morning. This heat is enough already. Yesterday I watched the heat gauge from 2pm -3pm and it increased from 95º to 98.7º. I feel so sorry for all the animals out there without a cool place to be. Mine get to be in the house where it's about 68º.  Dude gets his daily "run" about 7 or 7:30am now.

You folks in the desert are suffering! My friend Tammy in Modesto had power go out..so, no phone, no AC! YIKES!

PICTURE of the day...   Eagle shaped cloud... message from God?

Today... special birthday day... my pal PJ is celebrating. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PJ!!!!! We'll be having a BBQ for her later today. I'm taking my 'famous' Asian Coleslaw (pictures later)

Today is also a birthday of a friend from high school, Jack Infranca. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!

And last but not least, my pal from LASD...Jim Hellmold. Jim is now an Assistant Sheriff. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY!!!
With his beautiful wife Cheryl, Jonah, Joshua, and Jacob...

A number of years ago, Jerry and the children and I were in Canada on the 1st of July. We were in a trailer park in British Columbia. There were a bunch of RCMPs camped there also. Jerry went over to their campsite and they had a long and fun conversation. When he came back he said "All cops have the same language and stories, except these guys say "Eh" at the end of every one! LOL. Thinking of you Ike and your daughter Gator.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Canada Day, happy Monday.
Canada Day celebrates the birthday of Canada. On July 1, 1867 Canada became a new federation with its own constiution  by signing the Constitution Act (formerly known as the British North America Act).
Canada Day is a national statutory holiday celebrated in all provinces and territories and it is a day off for most businesses. There is, of course, a lot more to Canada Day but the purpose of this page is only to give you a date and a brief history.
