Good 23º everything is frozen morning. Everything! Grass,
hummer feeder, dog's water, trees................................
Here is a quick video of a barricaded suspect in Santa
Monica.... taken down the stairs by an LASD K9. WHATTA dog!!!!! Love
him!
Yesterday was the Oscars. They pomp and circumstance started
at 2pm and went on til 10:30pm! Really? They need over 8 hours to pat themselves
on the back? The Glen Campbell song Tim McGraw sang made me cry. Those actors
who died ... Rod Taylor, James Garner, Lauren Bacall, Robin Williams, Mickey
Rooney, James Shigeta, Louis Jordan, Richard Attenborough, and Eli Wallach
tribute was nice, but they left out Joan Rivers! The speeches were filled with
political activism. Every time the camera was on Michael Keaton he was chewing
gum with his mouth open! RUDE. Yes, Jeannie, Gaga's voice is good, but the
tattoos and the makeup and the dress didn't impress me. Don't get me started on
Okra! Neil Patrick Harris is talented alright, but wearing his tighty-whiteys in
front of everyone? PULEEEEESE! And the "African American Film Critics Film
Association" threw an Oscar party! What? Does everything have to be racial???? I
am really surprised OVamit's face didn't appear on a screen giving a speech! The
one movie everyone I know saw and liked was American Sniper and it didn't get
anything! Remember, Hollyweird is a GAME!
So.... when I wear my slippers, take them off when in my
chair, the Bruise comes along and puts one or both paws into them and naps! Here
he has his left front paw in the left slipper.
Dinner was another new one for me. My Brooklyn NY friend Vivia
Dennis said she has made this a couple of times. Easy, three ingredients. One
can of Progresso Vegetable Soup, 1/2 a can of tomato sauce, and 1/2 cup
macaroni. Put all in small Crock*Pot on high for 4 hours. I changed it,
natch...
I put in Prego Creamy Cheddar sauce instead of the tomato (1/2
jar) and added mushrooms, with the liquid. After cooking about an hour I decided
I wanted it thicker so cooked 2 cups macaroni in garlic salted water, drained
over a large pan, put the mac in the Crock*Pot ....
Cooked asparagus in the pasta garlic water.... just til not
raw.
Added that into the Crock*Pot, changed to low, and cooked
another 3 hours. It was GREAT!!!!!
Tonight I think I'll add some more vegetables and maybe some
canned chicken. YUMMMMM.....
While I cooked, I was being watched...
Friend Linda Kretzinger Price's son Jason and his wife have
done a remarkable job losing weight and getting fit... This is a 21 day fix. He
and his wife both lost about 50 pounds each. Check out the link if this is of
interest to you.
Jason's testimonial....
Hi I'm Jason and I wanted to just share my story here for those who feel
down or maybe even hopeless in their life. Awhile back, I had been feeling
really depressed about my weight. I'd go to my closet to see what I could wear
to work and it seemed my selection of things were disappearing.... I had a big
gut and waistline and was tired and had no energy. My wife had been having
issues with her health too. She had diverticulitis and found out that she was
not only allergic to gluten but also had a tumor on her liver. I thought to
myself ... What is going on? I had been eating poorly and did not really
exercise much but still throwing my money down the tubes paying for a gym
membership I did not use. My wife and I had enough and we decided to do
something about it so we started eating cleaner.... And we started doing the
Insanity workout program together. I started to focus on my food intake and the
kind of foods I ate .We both worked out hard and pushed ourselves. I had heard
that Insanity could help change my body and mind so we kept pushing. We prayed
that the Lord would heal both of us and take away the tumor. We did not stop...
We just kept going. We did the best we could and though a bunch of sweat and
some tears we started seeing results. This fueled us on even more. We even had
some friends and family doing the workout too and this gave added support. We
kept doing the workout until the end of the program and kept eating better......
In the end.... We both had dropped about 50lbs each. My waist went from a 38 to
a 31 and..... My wife's tumor disappeared.... A miracle! Our lives had been
changed. I would love for all who feel they are hopeless... To believe that they
too can achieve their goals and become better and more fit too. I am now
starting InsanityMax30 and I invite you to join me in your own journey to
fitness. I'd love to help give you support! Like my page: facebook.com/beachbodyjason and contact

International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day
International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day is a day for the dogs.
And, that's because there is no one else who can really appreciate the true
value of a dog biscuit. They say "Every dog has his day". And, it will
definitely be his day, when you give him some tasty dog biscuits.
You might appreciate their value in pleasing your dog, as a reward
for behavior, or enticing them to do a trick. But, the dog is the recipient of
the treat.
Celebrate today by giving your dog a few dog
biscuits.
Here... make your own with pumpkin (good for
dogs!)
