AOL Gold ~ LAPD & LASD KMA ~ 417 ~ Bacon Buffalo Mac & Cheese ~ Sally Harwell ~ Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

Good 25º totally frozen morning. YIKES. Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........................

Yesterday I was beyond frustrated. For you AOL users, I had heard about AOL Gold from a few friends, so I looked into it and it sounded good so I downloaded it. First there was no Buddy List. Then when I sent and copied photos to my blog, they didn't show up! I sent out the morning "drivel" and it didn't go to anyone. There was a BCC but it didn't work. So............ I uninstalled it and am sticking with the old regular slower than heqq version. Another friend said she had the same problem and uninstalled hers too.

It's just like Windows... when they went to Windows 10 it was/is FUBAR too!! Groan...........

Found this on line...
"KMA-367 - You see it on license plate frames all over Los Angeles. What does KMA-367 mean anyway? KMA-367 was the official Federal Communications Commission (FCC) call sign for Los Angeles Police Department radio transmitters from 1948 through the 1980s. Those driving around with these license plate holders are associated with the LAPD. Seen less frequently are license holders displayingKMA-628, associated with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department."
Mine:

I was in town Wednesday and a gentleman I was chatting with at the Post Office was at Ace also. He asked me, "is that your car?". Yes it is. Then he said "KMA 628?" I asked him if he knew what it meant. He said, "Yes, ours was KMA-367" ! LOL. Retired LAPD! Nice guy, Dennis Matthews. He retired from detectives. Said he had even heard Steve Geon's name (LAPD ret and Wilsonite)! Small world.

A old guy at the post office one day asked me the meaning of my license plate. I told him 417 was a penal code for "brandishing a firearm in a rude or threatening manner" or a police code for "man with a gun". He put his arm around me and said, "Is that what they got ya for?"   LOL!!!

National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

Today is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day! Embrace this light-hearted, festive day and wear your tackiest ugly Christmas sweater. Let your personal sense of fashion shine with a sweater emblazoned with Rudolph’s face or a spirited Christmas phrase – the more over the top, the better!
Held on the third Friday in December, this fun-filled holiday is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season – in style! You may ask yourself, how did this holiday trend emerge? Chevy Chase is sometimes credited with starting the ugly Christmas sweater trend, thanks to his role in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. While the sweaters began to go out of fashion in the 1990s, they surged back to popularity around 2001.
To celebrate, wear your favorite ugly Christmas sweater to the office, the store, or where ever today’s day takes you. To really get into the spirit, host a fun ugly Christmas sweater party this holiday season! Make sure to choose digital invitations for your party this holiday season to help cut back on unnecessary paper waste. When you choose digital, you help protect the environment.
