~ Geese ~ Grilled Chicken ~ Limerick Day ~

Good 47º very cloudy morning. The 60% chance of rain last night yielded a few misty drops late yesterday afternoon after monsoon winds! Yuck. "Rain not enough to measure" doesn't count in my book.  Supposed to be just "mostly cloudy" until the weekend and then Saturday is 50% chance rain and Sunday is 70% chance. Ya wonder where in the heqq they come up with those guesses.

I heard the geese outside yesterday morning and looked out... there were 6 of them! I could see them from the porch, they were behind a hill... I called to them "goosie goosie goose" and they flew down closer and then walked over for some corn!

The early morning was beautiful...

I was the mad cleaning woman yesterday. I took all the plants that had been in my bathroom (big big windows...lots of light) all winter and put them on the front porch. Even found a frog, he was moving real slow, so must have just come out of hibernation. He was cute and I had never heard him croak even once.

I am using hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle now after reading about the way it cleans and disinfects, it's cheap, and it has no odor. It works wonderful! Loosens dirt amazingly well.  1 bottle of peroxide and half again as much water. Cleans everything! Use the 3% and get it on sale when available. It's so safe around any child or pets. Well, you can rinse your mouth with it and soak your toothbrushes in it. Guess it's safe for the tub and shower and sink! Really really cleans everything! I had some silk flowers in a pretty vase I wanted to put in the bathroom and the flowers were coated with dust. So, I put the flowers, vase and all, in the tub and soaked them with the peroxide ... voilá... all clean and shiny!

  Yes, Democrats, that's the way to stand up and be responsible!

So, yesterday I was eating some whole wheat/flaxseed chips and some jalapeño/artichoke dip and Mr. Harley, nosey as he is, wanted to try the dip. OK, Mr. Hot Stuff... here. AND HE ATE IT! Whatta guy.

Dinner was a boneless, skinless chicken breast coated with olive oil, sprinkled on Bob's Seasoning Salt, and crusting mix and grilled. Along with that a twice baked stuffed potato (compliments of Omaha Steaks) and a beautiful sweet orange. I like the Wasabi Teriyaki sauce on it.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Thursday! Ciao.

May 12th
Limerick Day
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a young girl in Rogue River,
Whose favorite snack was goose liver.
She liked it on toast
Laughingly, most people were grossed.
Just makes you want to shiver.
This girl was funny and liked to boast,
Goose liver and mayo was better than pot roast.
It became her breakfast lunch and dinner.
She claimed this diet made her thinner.
But, it made her rump look like a roast.
Now I could go on about liver,
Even I occasionally like a sliver.
But for every single meal,
It would lose it's appeal.
I would turn into a crazed basketweaver.
