For the past few days it has dropped in temperature in the morning down to 19º. Now today it's lower! Yesterday morning Kristen and Alex and Jack left, heading back to So. Cal. Hated to see them go!!! Texted with Alex about 9:30 am and she said they were in Weed and it was still 19º. Had warmed to 29º here by then. By 1:30 we were at 59º. Heat wave!!! They got home safe and sound. Yes!!!

National Lemon Cream Pie Day

A plain pastry or crumb pastry shell with a pudding filling (butterscotch, chocolate, frangipane and vanilla are most common). Try a banana cream piecoconut cream pieor a strawberry or raspberry cream pie.
What’s the difference between cream and creme? Just the spelling. Creme is an Americanization of the French word for cream, crème (pronounced KREHM), most likely adapted to make the dish sound more special. But why mispronounce another language’s word for cream? Unless it’s a French recipe, such as Coeur à la Crème, stick to cream.

Frozen ~ Thanksgiving ~ Lord Thanks ~ Throw Back Thursday ~ Thursday Football

Good 23º everything is frozen out there morning!

Today, Lord, I am so truly thankful for so many things.

You have Blessed me in many ways. Thank you for this wonderful country I am privileged to live in.. and for all of it's military, police, and fire heroes. Thank you also for the regular "Joe Citizen" heroes who put themselves out there to help any way they can. Thank you Lord for my wonderful family and friends. They are my greatest Blessings. Thank you Lord for all the critters you have put on this earth, my very own, especially. They teach us so much ... unconditional love, loyalty, and understanding.
Lord thank you for blessing me with a super awesome Mother and Dad. They were the best! Thank you Lord for blessing me with such great children and grandchildren. All of my family is wonderful!
And thank you Lord for the super neat loving animals you have given me to love and be loved by... there was Scuffy Ann, Heidi, Lucy, Rufus, Dallas, Brutus, Tigger, Blazer, Harley, Maggie, Yukon, Dude, and Bruiser.
Lord, comfort those who are in pain, without friends or family, without food. Thank you for the time I had with loved ones that have gone to be with you. They shall always be in my heart, thoughts, and loved and greatly missed.
Lord, continue to Bless and watch over my family and friends. Keep them safe. And please watch over our country and military. Please impart some wisdom into the pea brains of the political machines running this country. Give them judging abilities to help save our country instead of using their position for fame, fortune, and stepping stones for their personal political future. I know, Lord, a little soapbox in my prayer! Can't help it. Thank you. Amen.

Today is also Throw Back Thursday...

November 26th

Tucked between the two monster sized holidays of Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving receives far less attention. But Thanksgiving is a very important holiday, especially in the busy lives of Americans. It is a time to kick back and relax, watch a football game or go to a movie, and enjoy a huge feast. It's also time for us to give thanks to our God, for the things he has bestowed upon us and upon this great nation. There is no nation in the world that has more to be thankful for than us.
