Friday 8-31 ~ Edda ~ Dutch Bros ~ RNC ~

Good 57º clear and sunny morning.
BE CAREFUL...... BE VERY VERY CAREFUL.... FULL MOON!!!! Sure glad I'm not answering 911 calls now. Full moon nights were horrid. Every nut case on the planet was out!

Today is a special friend's birthday... Edda Gahm. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDA. I hope your special day is FANTASTIC as you!!!! xo
Here are the "daily drivel gals" at a Christmas
luncheon a couple of years ago...
L-R  Lydia, me, Trish, Edda the Birthday Girl, & Judy

An update on the LBB's (little brown birdies) they have fledged and are gone from the birdhouse!

Also, talked to Kristen this morning. Her surgery was 2 1/2 hours yesterday. I checked on her several times and the nurse relayed my message as I didn't want to disturb her. Today she's doing ok, has eaten a little. She will be fine in a few days! Will send her off some pretty posies.

Yesterday I went to GP to pick up my computer from Turk. He said for his pay all he wanted was a "freeze from Dutch Brothers" which is a drive-thru coffee hut...

I ordered it weird, apparently, as the girl at the window laughed at me. She asked if I had ever had a freeze before. "No and first time at a Dutch Brothers". She was so sweet she gave me the freeze for FREE~!!!!!! With an added, "Welcome to Dutch Brothers!" How nice. So, Turk was happy with his treat! And OMG it smelled heavenly... espresso freeze. Gonna get one for me!

On the way back home I saw this "motorhome" parked in the McDonald's parking lot...
Look carefully, it appears the back half was removed to be a storage area. An AC is attached to the door. OMG. I can just imagine what the driver looks like!!!! LOL.

So, home again with the computer and all hooked up when the FedEx guy showed with my DirecTV box. Yeah. Got that hooked up but it's not showing the local channels! Grrrrrrrrrr.... Talked to DirecTV and she is sending out a tech (wanted one in the first place!) on WEDNESDAY! OGeeze. I watched the RNC on the small TV. So enjoyed the speeches... Jeb Bush, Derek Parra (gold metalist from 2002 speed skating)

... and Clint Eastwood... he was funny!
.... and of course Mitt!!

Lots of fun and lots of cheering!

Thursday 8-30 ~ Kristen ~ Shopping ~ X-Rated Sunrise

Good 45º clear sunny morning. Still no big computer and this one is not compatible with my blog site. Grrrrr...... So, another day goes by... Guess you will have some catching up to do with my drivel!

Today my Kristen is having a surgery. Wish I could be there with her, but she has good help and Alex and Jack are super good helpers too. They will all take good care of her. Love you Tootie!!! ♥♥

Yesterday I went to Medford for back x-rays and a blood test.

Will find out about the back next Friday. Then a shopping stop at Costco ... dog chews, jerky, some for Brian's dog Atlas, big container of spinach for my smoothies, multi-colored bell peppers, celery, Asian chicken wrap, and they had HUGE lobster tails at 2 for $24! Of course I got two!

My friend George Bachmeier (LASD ret) sent this... very interesting... wow!
I noted that the two in purple jackets dragging the fuel hoses were female. Don't think I'd want to work/live on a ship full of squids! Kidddddddddding.... you Navy guys take it too personal!!! LOL.

The evening cocktail was an X- Rated Sunrise..... tequila, X-Rated Fusion liquor, and orange juice... X-Rated is vodka, blood orange, mango, and passion fruit.

At 6pm the moon was out and bright....

And the smoke from fires was coming over the mountain....

All the while.... Mr. Frog kept and eye on everyting from behind the shutter on the front porch....

Took computer to Turk yesterday and he will call when it's done. Later in the afternoon I went to Bill and Jeannie's. Donna came over too and gave me a bag of tomatoes. Will work on those later. Jeannie also gave me some red (hot) peppers that I will pickle. We sat out on the deck, it was so lovely and a nice breeze. Came home and watched the RNC and Ann Romney's talk. Wow, she's good and it was a fun loving informative speech. Like McCain, Mitt married a gal with good looks, smart, and a great speaker. I loved listening to Lynn McCain too.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Lemon Juice Day

My favorite salad dressing is lemon juice with olive oil drizzled in while whisking. Ratio is about 1 to 1. Add a little garlic powder, some sea salt, and citrus pepper. Perfect!
.... or make a lemon martini!
