Snow ~ Throw Back Thursday ~ GP Errands ~ Perfectly Timed ~ Sippy Wine Glass

Good 32º cloudy/foggy morning.

Weather was strange yesterday. Some sun off and on, some rain, hail storm, and snow on the tip top of the mountains and down in Medford! Pictures of my mountain and the roads in Medford:

The prediction was snow on the valley floor from 800' up and I am at 1200', but it didn't happen. The snow hit Ashland and into No. Cal...

Throw Back Thursday....
Pictures I took in 1955 with my little Brownie camera out each window of the Washington Monument in DC:

The monument is 555 feet tall with 50 flights of stairs, that we climbed to the top! There is an elevator in it now, but it's closed until about 2019 because of safety problems.

Yesterday I ran more errands into Grants Pass. Needed to drop off stuff to Brian, get a couple groceries at Safeway. In Safeway there is a Starbucks and one of the gals was walking around the store handing out free samples. Apparently this is called an Iced Frappuccino.  I don't ever buy from coffee stands, but this was GOOD! It was so cold and almost like a malt with whipped cream on top! Picture is deceiving, the "glass" was the size of a shot glass...

Also when I came out of Safeway there was a young GP cop walking by
and I guess I had that look like I wanted to say something. He stopped and said hi to me. I told him I was grateful for him and his job and told him where I had worked. He asked me some questions. Then I mentioned the slain Whittier officer. He said yes he read about that. We discussed it. I shook his hand and said "God willing you will stay safe". Nice guy. I think we both enjoyed out chat.

For those of us who like to "sip" wine, here is the perfect glass...

Yesterday breakfast was a piece of that yummy quiche and an egg.

Dinner was reruns.

Working on taxes today. UGH.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day

International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day is a day for the dogs. And, that's because there is no one else who can really appreciate the true value of a dog biscuit. They say "Every dog has his day". And, it will definitely be his day, when you give him some tasty dog biscuits.

You might appreciate their value in pleasing your dog, as a reward for behavior, or enticing them to do a trick. But, the dog is the recipient of the treat.

Celebrate today by giving your dog a few dog biscuits.
