Yesterday Jeannie and I met up and she accompanied me to my doctor visit with Dr. Rachael. I wanted Jeannie to meet her...she's in a quandary about changing doctors. Jeannie liked her! Had a blood test for my Vitamin D levels and then off to Cash & Carry and then Costco. Fun shopping and tasting all the goodies they offered. Bought some Sesame Dressing after trying it on lettuce. GOOD! From a restaurant in Beverly Hills.. Feast from the East......

Then we headed to 38 Central... a little bistro in downtown Medford owned by David Graham (across from the old Woolworth building)

David was very nice and introduced me to a delightful California Chardonnay (gaaaa... the name I can't remember. Oh well, will have to go back for more!) We also had a 'snack'.... flatbread with bacon, tomato, and cheese. OMGOOD!!! (we jumped into it before I thought of a photo!)

A fun afternoon.

Sent this to my friend Joan PC, but then thought you all would enjoy these photos too.....

Bout it. Dinner last night was an Asian Chicken Wrap from Costco....I soooo love those! Got snuggy in my chair, Bruiser joined me and fell asleep cradled in my arm on his back! Wish I could have gotten a picture of that! What a love....

All I know. Happy Saturday. Oh, and Kristen did not receive the second apology shipment of the Boudin bread yesterday. She left work at 4:20. Guess I write Boudin AGAIN and tell them to fire FedEx and use UPS!!!!! Ciao.

May 18th
National Cheese Souffle Day
.... here's a Taste of Home recipe:

4-1/2 teaspoons butter
4-1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 eggs, separated

In a large saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour until smooth; gradually add milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat; stir in cheese until melted. Remove from the heat. Beat egg yolks. Stir a small amount of hot mixture into yolks; return all to the pan, stirring constantly. Cool slightly.
In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into egg yolk mixture. Pour into two 8-oz. ramekins or custard cups coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve immediately. Yield: 2 servings.
