Fog Rain TV Opinions ~ Cat & Ducklings ~ Book Store ~ Military Memorial ~ Chocolate Souffles

Good 42ยบ foggy pressure dropping morning.
Yesterday, as with the day before, about 8am we got 12 or 7 drops of rain. Sun came and went. Some project going on the property to the north of me. Tractor out there making a LOT of noise pushing trees and dirt around. Sigh.... Took a ride to the pond. It's filled, but not as much as it usually is. My camera, the little hand size Canon had battery issues, so no picture.

TV was good last night ... a Law & Order SVU and Chicago PD back to back with similar crimes they solved together. Early evening it started raining, hard, and for an hour. We got 1/2".

That's me... I don't care what anyone thinks! So, bite me! I'm a souffle!

This from Carolyn Taylor (wife of the infamous Ollie...LASD ret)... Cats and Ducks.... sooooooooooooooooo cute!

National Chocolate Souffle Day

The word souffle comes from the French verb meaning 'to puff up.' It's an apt term for chocolate souffle, a light and airy dessert made from a few basic ingredients like chocolate or cocoa, egg whites, and custard. Despite its relative simplicity, a souffle makes for an elegant baked dessert that won't cause diners to puff up if they indulge a little!

National Anthem ~ Joke ~ TBT ~ Sideways ~ Elk ~ Nutty Bruiser ~ Kahlua Recipes

Good 41ยบ cloudy still no rain yet morning. I guess the CA coast is preparing for a lot of rain. Drizzled 10 or 6 drops yesterday morning. That was all.

Ok, this is GREAT.... this little girl sings the National Anthem and the sound system takes a dump so she can't finish... but the audience jumped right in and sang the end of the Anthem! Wow. I love Americans! REAL Americans... those who CARE about our country!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This joke from my high school pal, Jim Harper... OMG! Be careful what you text or email....
A man received the following text from his neighbor:
I'm so sorry Bob. I've been riddled with guilt and I have to confess. I have been tapping your wife, day and night when you're not around. In fact, more than you. I do not get any at home, but that's no excuse. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest
apology with my promise that it won't happen again.
The man, anguished and betrayed, went into his bedroom, grabbed his gun, and without a word, shot his wife and killed her.
A few moments later, a second text came in:
I hate autocorrect!  I meant "wifi", not "wife"
Williams said goodbye to Hollywood around 1970 and followed his interests into a job in the actual world of law enforcement, spending 25 years as a reserve officer with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and also working at the San Diego Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department.He said he formed a mountain-rescue team, taking dead and injured people out of the hills around Topanga Canyon, and worked with a partner as a plainclothes officer on Malibu Beach."We had more felony arrests than any other team," he said.But there are some mysteries relating to Williams' second career that he will not discuss, like the seven years he spent working for the federal government."I'm not supposed to talk about that," he said.
Van was in the first academy class I was in, but because of the "strict moral code" (LOL) the department had and I was "living without the benefit of clergy" with Jerry, I was dropped until we were either not living together or married! (After the wedding nups I went back)
UGH! She didn't even have a chance!
This makes me throw up! WTF???? First they got Obummer in and now they want Bullshillary Clintoon, another one who doesn't give a shit about our military!!!!! Self-absorbed. Self-righteous.  Temperamental beeotch. They want HER for President. Haven't the Dems learned anything??????
Then of course, you know Bill Clintoon will be in the Presidential Bedroom while Bullshillary is in the Oval Office, getting his blow jobs! (Not sex! Yeah, right.)
Five years ago today Janie Alden and I took "Mr. Big Stuff" , renamed to Sideways, to Gary and Tammy. This was the black lab found on the freeway off ramp by PJ. I kept him here for a bit, but with pending back surgery I couldn't care for another dog at the time and Tammy and Gary had lost one of theirs and wanted him. Such a lucky dog to get such a great and loving home!
This morning there were a few elk in the pasture...
Yesterday while sitting at my desk, Bruiser decided he wanted to get comfy in the shelves next to the desk... nut!
AND THEN.... while I was watching TV he got comfy on top of the entertainment center!
All I know. Happy Thursday. Nuff said. Ciao.
National Kahlua Day
Imported from Mexico (which is odd because of the name, sounds like it's from Hawaii!), Kahlua is made with Mexican-grown coffee, vanilla beans, and sugar. This thick, potent liqueur is used in popular cocktails like the Mudslide and the White Russian. But it's also used in ice cream toppings, brownies, cakes, and to baste certain meats.
I buy this Kahlua syrup... sugar free... and put it in my coffee. YUMMMM!!! (Having some right now!)
