Interesting:

"He's been a perfect stranger ever since he left Hollywood (funny!!! "left Hollywood" ... how true!!!! ) a decade ago. But Bronson Pinchot couldn't be happier in his new life as a home-restoration specialist in rural Harford, Pa."

Today my good friend, Nancy Perry, is celebrating her special day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCY~! She only posts pictures of her Skeeter dog....

And today would have been my Dad's birthday. Leslie Laney born March 16, 1901 and passed away in 1991. Miss you Dad! xo

I like to make this dish to go with my corned beef, which I am going to put in the smoker this year.... This is called Colcannon. A traditional Irish side dish..... made by an Irish lass... so much better than just boiled potatoes and boiled cabbage!
4-5 russet potatoes (depending on size)
1/2 large head of cabbage
butter, milk, salt, pepper
Heat a frying pan with a bit of oil and saute the shredded cabbage until wilted. In the mean time peel, dice, and cook the potatoes for about 8 minutes, until soft. Mash with milk and butter, salt and pepper. Mix cabbage and mashed potatoes together and keep warm until serving.
You can also chop some green onions and/or chives and add to the dish and/or cooked crumbled bacon. Leeks can be chopped and cooked with the cabbage. Or if you are worried about the calories in potatoes, cook cauliflower and mash it like potatoes..... but really not as good!
