RR's Crockpot Dinners ~ Crazy Kitty ~ Soup & Eggs?

Good 47ยบ foggy morning. Supposed to see 'some' sun today. Getting haircut. No other excitement planned.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of the Christian season of Lent and a sign of penitence. During Lent, Christians must fast and give up things they like. The Lenten season lasts for 46 days which occurs 46 days before Easter. It is a moveable fast, falling on a different date each year because it is dependent on the date of Easter. It can occur as early as February 4 or as late as March 10.

On Ash Wednesday, Christians go to mass and receive ashes on their foreheads in the sign of the cross. It is a reminder of from "Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust". It means that we came from dust and we shall return to dust, referring to our earthly bodies, not our souls.

Yesterday I went into GP to Brian's State Farm Office to sign my refi papers. Easy. Painless. Saving $. Always a good thing! Then to the Credit Union and have them put my saved change in the counting machine. Last week I took quarters... and deposited $101 in my account. This week it was dimes and nickels and deposit was $205.96 ...!!! A penny got in there! Next will be pennies. I have to stop 'saving' change here at home!
I have also started working on my taxes. UGH. I am such a procrastinator! I have a few days coming up that are relatively free so must get this process started! Thank God for Turbo Tax! Makes it easy.

Yesterday breakfast was a case of being creative. I had leftover chicken-mushroom-carrot soup and needed to eat that .... but wanted eggs. So, put soup in a pan, drizzled on garlic infused olive oil, and made a hole for two eggs. Lid on, med heat, let them cook. Added orange pepper and sea salt. Topped with grated cheese when done. GOOD!

When I got the camera to photo the meal, Mr. Harley was giving me the 'look'......
All I know. Happy Hump Day. Nuff said. Ciao.
