Crockpot Turkey ~ Monkey with a GUN! ~ Artichokes ~ Atlas

Good 44º clear sunny morning.

I like Dunkin' Donut's coffees. I use their Cinnamon Spice a lot and just bought French Vanilla... Mmmmmm, good!!

Yesterday was pretty boring. I was having major issues with the computer or it's AOL... something made everything run slower than dial up! I was pissy about it all day. The dogs didn't do much besides nap. I cut some branches off the apple tree that were hanging on the ground and set them out for the deer. They LOVE apples and apple leaves.... not to mention they LOVE grape leaves!

My one vine by the carport is stripped on the ends from deer munching, but the new leaves are growing back....

Dale sent me this youtube video. Ah, let's see..... "monkey see, monkey do" ... that fits!!! Duh... Let's dissect this... you act stupid with an automatic weapon and then you HAND A LOADED AUTOMATIC WEAPON TO A MONKEY! No gray matter here. Go monkey!

Now, here's a favorite recipe of mine. When you crave a turkey sandwich and it's the middle of summer this is the trick...

3# turkey breast
1 can cranberry sauce - whole or jelly
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Mix cranberry sauce and onion soup mix. Put turkey breast in crockpot. Top with cranberry/onion mixture. Cook on low for 8 hours.

If frozen, cook on high for 2 hours, then low for 6 hours.
Makes AWESOME turkey sandwiches!!!

1957Cindy Sheehan, American anti-war/political activist
A wack job.... Sheehan released a statement on May 2, 2011 indicating that she considers the death of Osama bin Laden to be a hoax, stating "If you believe the newest death of OBL, you’re stupid,"[96] referring to America as a "lying, murderous Empire" and telling Americans, whom she called "brainwashed," to "put [their] flags away."[97][98] This beeotch needs to be taken for a ride by Ted Kennedy! Oh wait, he's dead. Well, maybe she can go hunting with Dick Cheney!

1980 – Jessica Simpson, American singer
Simpson: Is this chicken what I have, or is this fish? I know it’s tuna, but it says Chicken ... by the sea. Is that stupid? [Long pause, with Lachey giving Simpson a dirty look]
Simpson: What? Don’t make fun of me right now. I’m not in the mood.
Lachey: You act like you’ve never had tuna before.
Simpson: I’ve had tuna fish, like, sandwiches and stuff, like this.
Lachey: Baby, you and I have eaten tuna like this before.
Simpson: Why is it called "Chicken by the Sea" or "in the Sea"?
Lachey: "Chicken of the Sea" is the brand.
Simpson: Oh.
Lachey: You know, 'cause a lot of people eat tuna, it's like a lot of people eat chicken? So it's like the chicken of the sea.
Simpson: Okay. I understand now. I was ... I read it wrong.
