Mo'rain! ~ Union Captain ~ Morton Salt ~ James ~ Moose?

Good 46ยบ still raining morning! So far we've gotten 3.1" since Wednesday night....

my creeks are a runnin' big time! When the rain stops I need to take a ride up to my pond and check it out. I'm sure it's filled to over flowing! The run off is the seasonal creeks running both sides of my property.

'The Bruise' and 'The Maggs' are staying dry on the porch....

Be careful out there, full moon is breaking out and the world of crazies are everywhere!

.... and from my friend Dee....

A union captain walks into a bar next door to the factory and is about to order a drink to celebrate Obama's victory when he sees a guy close by wearing a Romney for President button and two beers in front of him. He doesn't have to be an Einstein to know that this guy is a Republican. So, he shouts over to the bartender so loudly that everyone can hear, "Drinks for everyone in here, but bartender, not for the Republican."

Soon after the drinks have been handed out, the Republican gives him a big smile, waves at him, then says, "Thank you!" in an equally loud voice that infuriates the union captain.

The union captain once again loudly orders drinks for everyone, except the Republican. As before it doesn't seem to bother the Republican and he continues to smile and again yells, "Thank you!"

This happens for a third time, still the unfazed Republican says, "Thank you!"

The union captain asks the bartender, "What the hell is the matter with that Republican? I've ordered three rounds of drinks for everyone in the bar but him, and all the silly ass does is smile and says thanks. Is he nuts?"

"Nope", replys the bartender, "He owns the place."

Thought this interesting... the age group for most of us!!! LOL

Sterling Morton, Joy Morton's son, decided on an image of a young girl, carefully holding an umbrella in one hand, not so carefully tilting a blue package of salt pouring out of the other. This reaffirmed the product's advantage--it was clump-free, regardless of the weather or storage conditions.

The slogan "When It Rains It Pours®" and the Morton Salt Umbrella Girl made its official debut on the blue package of table salt in 1914. The young girl on the packaging has since undergone several rounds of transformations, notably in 1921, 1933, 1941, 1956 and 1968, changing hairstyles and attire. After all, a girl always needs to stay in line with the latest fashions and look her best.
