Good 44ยบ raining morning! More rain. Can't believe this.
Yesterday 10am .... and then 11:45am ...
Left for Grants Pass yesterday about 1:30pm and it poured so hard on the
I-5 I slowed to 40mph because the visibility was nearly zero!
Then it stopped as fast as it started. Sun came out!
Went into Wal-Mart and when I came out it
has poured again. Heading to the bowling alley it started again....
On and off all day and in the night. Radar on top of us now...
30% chance today, 20% tomorrow. At least the predictions of 100% yesterday
were right!
This weekend is Boatnik. Started last night with the carnival set up at
Riverside Park. Sadly they are getting rained on!

Since 1959, The Grants Pass Active Club has held Boatnik every Memorial Day weekend along the Rogue River in Grants Pass, Oregon. For more than 50 years families have enjoyed this five day event that supports the children and youth programs of the communities of Southern Oregon.
The activities start Thursday evening in Riverside Park with the Davis Shows Carnival featuring food, rides, games and family fun. The excitement continues Friday which includes a spectacular fire works display on the river. Saturday morning features the well-known Boatnik parade that travels through downtown and ends at Riverside Park. Throughout the weekend the festivities continue in the park where there are a whirlwind of activities that include: Sprint and Drag boat racing, carnival rides, arts and crafts, Papa John's pizza eating contest, children's activities, Bingo, food vendors, Monday Sundaes, the Chevy Drive It Home Golf Shoot Out and a second night of patriotic fireworks. Monday is the highlight of Boatnik featuring the World Famous Tom Rice Memorial White Water Hydroplane Race. Thousands of locals and visitors from around the world come to share the tradition and unique experience of Boatnik.

There is a flag unfurling ceremony with 21 gun salute on the Grants Pass
Bridge at the park about 11:30am and an F-15 fly-over that is spectacular. I'll
be there for that along with the parade on Saturday!
OMG, these are a riot. My friend Trish Bowler sent this picture....

(A Republican, 57 years married, 7 children with the same man! All Hollyweird oddities!)
The Wal-Mart shopping garnered a gallon of concentrated Roundup for my
spraying jobs ... soon as it stops raining! Then to Caveman Bowl
to celebrate Deb's birthday ...
PJ & Dave, PatC & Tim, Deb & Tom, and me. They all bowled. I
watched. (Didn't want to do anything to the old back! I threw it out a couple of
years ago just doing Wii bowling with Tucker!) PatC & Tim went across the
street and brought back snacks (since the cafe in the bowling alley was not open
til 5pm) and Pat had also made a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.
OMGOOD!

All I know. Nuff said. Staying home today and CLEANING the house! UGH.
