~ Olive Garden ~ Boiled Shrimp ~ Atlas' Birthday ~

Good 43º cloudy morning. Got a total of 19/100th's inch rain yesterday. Sure is green here right now. The minute that sun pops out everything will jump grow a foot!! Groan... more mowing!

Sorry, but I have to say something about Aaaanold and Maria, poor woman. She certainly put up with a lot while Mr. Hot Pants capered and fathered a child, at least one, from someone who was not his wife, this woman
, and sashayed all over the country and world without Maria. What a creep. What an ego he has!! Truth be told, this mother of his illegitimate child is not all that good looking! There were no thought processes going on!
Ok, off the

 !

Well the Artichoke Festival is this weekend in Castroville. Gosh, I wish I could go there. One of my most favorite foods!!! Here is a link to Ocean Mist Artichokes... Lots of good recipes and cooking ideas. You can sign up and they will tell you when their chokes are on sale in your area.

Yesterday was lunch with my old pal Joanie from Temple City. She and Art owned Temple City Auto Parts. He sold the store and they moved to Gold Hill. Jerry hooked up with them on a trip north to Aaron's in Idaho. He found this place for sale and after I came up we decided to buy it. She and I went to Olive Garden. OMG. I had the Chicken and Gnocchi Soup and Stuffed Mushrooms.

The soup was AWESOME!!!!! Mushrooms were good, but not fantastic. Conversation was GREAT!

Back home and dinner was shrimp.... found it in the freezer. Heated to boiling some water with Old Bay Garlic & Herbs Seasoning and dropped in shrimp. Shut off the heat. Let sit for 10 min and then drained

and peeled. Made a sauce with Hinze Chili Sauce (I hate giving one cent to that beeeotch Heinz-Kerry, but her dad's chili sauce is the best!) and mayonnaise. Cut up some sweeeeeet red bell pepper and had some jalapeño cheese curds (from Rogue Creamery), and some artichoke leaves. Yummy!

Since some of you have complained the links (in blue or mauve and underlined) don't work I did some checking and apparently after they have been cut and pasted they don't work! They work on the Wikipedia site only. Sorry about that. So, I have written out each link that will now work:

All I know. Nuff said. Ciao. Happy Wednesday.
