OMG the 1st of July!!
Good 59º clear sunny morning.
A full moon rising in the afternoon. Be careful out there!
Joy of joys:
Today is a special birthday, my pal PJ (aka Pat).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PJ!!! xoxoxoxo
This taken last year celebrating....
Ok, PJ, take this test to see how old you REALLY are!
Yesterday with the best intent, I was going to pay bills, but sidetracked with a lot of old emails and catching up and enjoying a bunch of stuff on line! There is always tomorrow!
This is Kristen's Cancer Fund page... amazing! Thank you to EVERYONE who has been so generous with donations!!!!
Historically this date...
1863 – American Civil War: the Battle of Gettysburg begins.
After having lived in Los Angeles, 32, Ca for all my life, now it was Los Angeles 90032. For those of you who remember, this was strange!
1981 – The Wonderland Murders occurred in the early morning hours, allegedly masterminded by businessman and drug dealer Eddie Nash.
.... that was interesting!
... I wish it was banned here in all public outdoor spaces too!
And births this date include....
1906 – Estée Lauder, American entrepreneur (d. 2004)
1961 – Diana, Princess of Wales, first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales and mother of the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry (d. 1997)
Here's a good tip .. Problem: moldy berries.
With blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries now in season, the low prices make it tempting to buy a large container. But, if you don't gobble them down quickly they can just as quickly soften and begin to mold. To extend their shelf life rinse them in a vinegar bath... one part vinegar and three parts water. Then rinse again with water to remove the vinegar taste. Once dry (let drain in colander) place them back in their container and store in the fridge. The vinegar kills the bacteria which helps prevent mold growth.
Dinner was salad...
Chicken, cheese tortellini, mushrooms, peas, spinach, celery, broccoli, iceberg lettuce, carrot slices, and sugar snap peas...
Bought this new salad dressing at Safeway... Greek yogurt with feta cheese and dill.... (OMGOOOOOD!!!!)
Leftovers were bagged up and saved for today....
Going to be too hot to do much today and tomorrow. All I can say is GET SUMMER OVER WITH... come on Fall!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Canada Day (for you Ike!)
Canada Day is a celebration of Canadian nationalism, heritage and pride. Canada became self-governing on July 1st, 1867, with the passage of the British North America Act (BNA Act) in the British Parliament. The holiday was originally known as "Dominion Day". It was changed to Canada Day by the Canadian Parliament on October 27, 1982.
Did you know? The U.S. and Canada share the largest un-defended border in the world
Today is also National Gingersnap Day (Mmmmmmmmmmm, gingersnaps!)
