~ Weird Dream ~ Too Much Bad News ~ Pickled Eggs ~

Good 55º morning. 100º yesterday. All you So Cal, Az, and Texas folks will be happy we are finally getting the heat here!

Weird dreams category ... forgot to write about them yesterday...

First one I was supposedly going back to school .. high school! I was so confused as to when and where I was to be. I seemed to be my current age, and everyone around me was young. Didn't have a clue where my classroom was. What time was I supposed to be there? Nervous about it. Why didn't I have all the information??? Sigh.... Reminded me of dreams I used to have before school started and I couldn't remember my locker combination!! Silly stuff....

I actually had two dreams, the other I can't remember now. Should have written it down. Drat.

The news has got to be some of the worst lately... Russian Hockey team of 37 members all die in plane crash, 3 members of a Banning family dead and a 2 year old boy found bound and gagged and alive in the house (poor baby.... so scared!)

and a man found dead, naked, dog collar around his neck in a bathtub with an Arkansas TV Weatherman! OMG. A suicide attack in Pakistan kills 22 people. Students in Ohio found a dead body in their apartment after returning from Labor Day weekend. The body is of a suspected burglar who broke a window and severed an artery and died on the spot.

This I have seen before but can't remember if I posted it. I smile the whole time this video is playing. A seal falls in love with this lady sitting on the beach. I don't know how she kept from petting and rubbing on the seal. I wouldn't have been able to take my hands off.... she must be a very nice and kind person...

On a very very sad note, my daughter in law Jen had to have her horse, Donut, put down last night. She and Donut had been together for 25 years! My heart is broken for you Jen. Sweetie, I love you!

RIP Donut.

Heading to Grants Pass yesterday for the LE/Fire luncheon I am always happy to see the 'work of the Lord' being performed...

Looked as though he was being cited and his car towed.

The LE/Fire lunch was nice. Everyone at our table, except for Dale and I, names started with 'J'! There was Jim, Jon, Joe, Jim, and Joy! I had a Chef's Salad, always good. Then after went to Grocery Outlet where I shopped for 'goodies'....

Gnocchi, Greek cooking sauce, orange chicken fixin's, horseradish sauce, pasta, Australian wines, Italian sauces. Mmmm mmm mm!

And then home and dinner was corn on the cob with several different spreads.... I mix mayonnaise with pesto, honey mustard, garlic powder & basil salt, and taco seasoning.

I found a gallon jar at The Dollar Store for the pickled eggs I am making...

The basic recipe is Joann's. Sooooo yummy, but because I do this, I changed the recipe slightly. Joann just uses the Mezzetta Hot Chili Peppers... but I decided to add the pickled garden mix and the garlic.

18-24 eggs
1 jar Mezzetta Hot Chili Peppers
1 jar Mezzetta Garden Snack Mexi-Mix - Hot n' Spicy
1 jar Mezzetta Spicy Pickled Garlic
2 jars Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar
4 heaping teaspoons Turmeric

Hard boil eggs, cool, peel.
Mix all Mezzetta pickles and Turmeric in a gallon container. Add eggs. Fill to brim with the vinegar.
Store in refrigerator at least 2 weeks prior to eating. Stir or
shake container every few days.

Ok, nuff said. Happy Thursday. Ciao.
