Clouds ~ Smoke ~ Age Test ~ Gtano's ~ Kiboos Clogs ~ Monday Football ~ Christian Eric Bowler

Good 43ยบ cloudy cloudy morning. No rain predicted today ro tomorrow, but Thursday and Friday (darn).
Yesterday's sunset...

The Department of Forestry was doing some controlled burns up in the BLM behind me.... got very smokey...

10-28 in radio code speak is "Vehicle registration and wants (complete vehicle registration and information)"
Got this from Pberger.... Deeewayne Honneee..... It's a mental age test. I got 56 "young at heart". What did you get?
Yesterday a trip into Grants Pass to the car dealership. Then a stop at Brian's office where I found out he was home with the stomach flu. Poor baby! I texted him and then later in the evening called. Tucker also had the flu. Two down! Poor Jen. Bri and Tucker..... hope you are better today. Call me when you feel like it. (Worried Mom and Bobo!)

After leaving B's office I went to the market for some carrots, celery, and spinach. Going to make that Turkey Loaf again  (posted on blog October 18th... archives on the left....). This time I am also going to add the baby spinach.
Then to Gtano's for lunch. Jennifer met me there after her pilates class. I had a Peruvian Margarita (addictive)

Jennifer had wine,

and we both had the Asada Burrito...
It had the most tender flavorful beef strips, black beans, and rice with the BEST sauce over the top. SOOOOOO good!!!
We each only ate about 3/4 of it and took the remainder home.
I stopped at the post office on my way back here to pick up my new clogs.. OMG they are HEAVEN!!! I can even put my orthotic inserts in them comfortably. If you are interested...  They have a number of styles....
Football last night...

Historically this date....
1886 – In New York Harbor, President Grover Cleveland dedicates the Statue of Liberty.

1929 – Black Monday, a day in the Wall Street Crash of 1929, which also saw major stock market upheaval.

1936 – U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt rededicates the Statue of Liberty on its 50th anniversary.

1962 – Cuban Missile CrisisSoviet Union leader Nikita Khrushchev announces that he had ordered the removal of Soviet missile bases in Cuba.

And births this date include...
1793 – Eliphalet Remington, American firearms manufacturer (d. 1861)

1897 – Edith Head, American costume designer (d. 1981)

1902 – Elsa Lanchester, British-born actress (d. 1986)

1914 – Jonas Salk, American biologist and physician (d. 1995)

1936 – Charlie Daniels, American musician

1944 – Dennis Franz, American actor

1949 – Bruce Jenner, American athlete

... after he hooked up with Kris Kardashian he lost a bunch of respect in my estimation! It all became "how I look" ... plastic surgery and just being a "socialite". Fuey Bruce! Now you aren't even married to that 'media fobe' anymore!

1955 – Bill Gates, American software executive

1963 – Lauren Holly, American actress

1967 – Julia Roberts, American actress

1972 – Brad Paisley, American musician
Yesterday my friends Trish and John Bowler (LASD ret) became grandparents for the third time. Their son Daryl and his bride Becky became parents of Christian Eric (here in his first selfie!) CONGRATULATIONS Mom and Dad, Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, cousins, and especially to Christian for being born into a wonderful loving family!
Now baby Isabella, whose 2nd birthday is Oct 31st, almost shares a birthday with her new cousin! And I'm not sure when Matthew's birthday is. Trish will tell me....
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.
