Sami's Party ~ More PhotoShop Fun ~ Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good 40º pouring rain morning! Dark, and it's 7. Hard to get used to. Looks like it's raining all over, not just here.

In yesterday's blog one of the historical haps was an earthquake in Long Beach, CA in 1933. My friend PatT was a small child and when the earthquake hit her dad picked her up to carry her outside. The backdoor stuck. At that moment the chimney fell right where they would have been! An amazing story. Someone 'up there' likes you Pat!

Ok, this is just funny. It's in German, but needs no explanation other than the daughter is asking her dad if he liked the new iPad he was given for his birthday....

Just jammin' with PhotoShop!!!

Yesterday was the party Jen and Brian had for Sami. Thankfully the rain held off. It wasn't the balmy 75* it had been the day before, probably 60* and it was windy! The theme was Pixie Hollow... at the front door there were fairy wings for the girls (some of the little boys wanted them too and were 'dragons'!) and Pixie Dust...

Jen had lots of projects for the kids to do... make houses with graham crackers, fruit loops, marshmallows, etc.... and they made flowers....

They had hunts for shiny eggs and had lots to do!

There was also wonderful food. I think I'll make a smilebox.

Today's special birthday is my dear friend, Joan Petit-Clair. Joan is my traveling/cruising buddy. Here she is on the stern of the cruise ship leaving NY in September 2008.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOAN!!!! xo
