Transformer Owl ~ Vee's Cheesy Rolls ~ Proud Oregonian ~ Peppermint Patty

Good 41º foggy morning. Some drizzle last night... about 7/100ths of an inch. Just cloudy predicted for today.

Yes, 211 is the radio code for robbery.

Sent to me from Rod Johnston (former USMC & LASD)..... funny owl... Thanks Rod!

Jeannie makes these yummy 'Cheese Rolls', a recipe from her dear late Mother,

Vee White ... with a few modifications by Jeannie...

Vee's Cheesy Stuffed Rolls
2 dozen French rolls
1# grated Tillamook cheese, it is the best.
1 large can pitted black olives
1 large bottle stuffed olives (probably 8 oz or more)
1 small can Ortega chiles ( I used a small and a large, we like the chiles)
1 small tomato sauce
4 hard boiled eggs
1 cup oil

Chop the olives, Ortega chiles and eggs. Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Cut rolls and remove inside (leave some, just enough to stuff). Then stuff with mixture, put together and wrap individually in foil. Chill at least 2 hours. Heat in moderate oven still wrapped in foil. (About 10-15 in a 325º oven) If frozen heat 1 hour in 350 degree oven.

"I did add some garlic powder, onion powder and a few dashes of Tabasco for a different flavor. Enjoy!"

Yesterday morning I was having a cheesy roll with my quinoa....

They are so yummmmmmmmmmy! Thank you Jeannie!
I will make them, but cut the recipe in half.

.... and this was funny (IMHO) and sent from Patrick Reardon (former LASD) a Washington state resident...LOL. Thanks Pat!

After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year outside of New York City, New York scientists found traces of copper cable dating back 100 years. They came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, a Los Angeles, California archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet somewhere just outside Oceanside. Shortly after, a story in the LA Times read:

"California archaeologists report a finding of 200 year old copper cable, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers."

One week later, a local newspaper in Medford, Oregon, reported the following:

"After digging down about 30 feet deep in his pasture near the community of Independence Oregon, Walter, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing.

Walter has therefore concluded that 300 years ago,Oregon had already gone wireless".

Just makes a person proud to be from Oregon .
