Good 39º raining morning. More predicted, but not as heavy...
So, yesterday we got another 1¼" of rain! Man, you could sail a boat in my
seasonal creek!!! Hip deep to a tall indian!!!

Here is one from pal Patty K.....
Having already downed a few power drinks, she turns around and faces him,
looks him straight in the eye and says, "Listen here, good looking. I will screw
anybody, anytime, anywhere, their place, my place, in the car, front door, back
door, on the ground, standing up, naked, or with clothes on. It doesn't matter
to me. I just love it."
His eyes now wide with interest, he responds, "No kidding. I work for the
government too. Are you Federal or State?"

I got some fun K-9 photos from Ike....
Yesterday with all the rain I stayed in except for putting all the trash in
my truck and taking it to the road for today's pickup. Joy. No golf cart in this
downpour! I did back up to the back porch and let Dude jump in (dry) and ride
down and back with me. He was happy about that as he LOVES going for rides!
Special birthday today... pal Vanette Downie Christensen (LASD ret) A

Here is an interesting story about high taxes in California and businesses
that are pulling out their corporate offices ..
Yes, let's make the people who have money (and have worked for it) pay the
high taxes while we give away money and benefits to lazy pieces of s**t who sit
on their butts with their hands out. PUT THEM TO WORK if they want the $$. Give
them brooms and bags and let them clean up the trash on the streets. Let them
clean off the graffiti. Let them do what there are no jobs for because cities
don't have the money to hire it done! Sigh....................
Dinner was lobster tail and steamed vegetables... I steamed the vegetables
with a little water, some olive oil, and garlic salt.
Cut the lobster tail down the top back, pull out the meat, set on top of
the shell, brush with clarified butter and sprinkle with paprika (or bacon
salt!) and bake at 400º 16-18 minutes.
Stir the remaining butter to incorporate the fat and use it for dipping...
you could also grate in a little lemon zest! I mixed mayonnaise with lemon juice
for my dipping sauce. Mmmmm.......
Then it was the "usual"... chair, wine, and I would have watched more TV
but the danged box and controller wouldn't work. Will call DirecTV today.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao

National Potato Chip Day
National Potato Chip Day celebrates the ever popular potato chip. Potato
Chips are America's #1 snack food. But, its not just a snack food. Its the
potato of choice for many lunchtime and dinner meals. Regular (or plain) potato
chips are by far the most popular. Other popular flavors are barbecue, sour
cream & onion, oil & vinegar, and ranch.
Did you Know? Potato chips
were first made by Chef George Crum in Saratoga Springs, NY on August 24, 1853.
Americans have been in love with them ever since.
Make your own potato chips! Its easy to do. The kids will love it, and so
will you. Find
out how.
Celebrating National Potato Chip Day is easy.... eat potato chips during
meals and
snacks.

Good cloudy morning, from our house to yours.
Potato chips are definitely one of my husband's favorite foods. There is a restaurant in Glendora which served freshly made double-fried- the best sort- it doesn't mess up my kitchen and we didn't have left overs tempting me the next day.
I have always loved that photo of Albert Einstein.
Thank you for my morning reading. Now to work....
Ahhhh John's and my favorite snack food. Potato chips! My fave of all time are Kettle jalapeno po chips. Can't keep them in the house because everyone loves them. I have to hide my bag but to no avail! Someone always finds them.
mmmmm Your lobster dinner looks amazing! You always have the most beautiful red tomatoes on your plate.
John, III's friend Russell worked for Carol Jr.'s corporate office for ten years in accounting. He finally quit right before they announced they were pulling out of California! I can't even imagine how the Dems can be so stupid! Businesses are leaving!! They just don't get it!! :(
XO Trisha
You girls, L & T, and your potato chips!!! I am that way with Fritos scoops! Can't stop eating them. OINK. Have a great day!!! xoxox
Thank you Sue... You are a great friend and the acknowledgements you give to so many friends through your blog is an example of how everyone can be a better friend and a reminder to stay connected with those we love and value in our life journeys. Thank you yet again for the birthday wishes. Your friendship is a gift to me I value deeply. Think I'll go do what my friend Sue would suggest.... Guess I'll have some potato chips, a glass of tea and set out on the porch a while to enjoy the sunshine, natures beauty and God's little creatures. Thank you Sue..!!
Thank you Vanette!!! xoxooxox Good for you to have sun! I won't be sittin' on the porch here for a while yet. Cold gloomy foggy. Enjoy!!! xoxo
