Good 38º cloudy morning. From yesterday we've gotten just over 3/4" of wet
stuff!
Yesterday morning it was drizzling here and Brian called to say it was
POURING rain in Grants Pass. Fifteen minutes later it was pouring here. Then on
and off all day...
Going to be a wet weekend... here and in the south!
Yesterday my back therapy appointment. Then to ACE for some cracked corn to
feed the birds. I was teasing Jeb as I was driving out and he was walking in
from lunch... a RR police car had just pulled through the ACE parking lot and I
told Jeb they had been here looking for him. He said, "that's because I gave the
officer the finger." I laughed, and said, "Oh no Jeb, that's not why, they know
when you do that you are just telling them your hat size. It must be for
something else!"
Prior to OVamit's speech Tuesday I was watching the news and it showed him
working with his speech writers. THE IDIOT has his foot on the table! He is
soooooooooooooo creepy and uncaring about anything but his super arrogant self!
White House furniture gets no respect from him either!!!
Hmmmm......................
When I was gone on Tuesday to Medford for a couple hours, I guess Dude got
bored. He has this pig he lays his head on on "his couch"... but apparently Mr.
Piggy tasted interesting...as he pulled a bunch of his stuffing out!
I received this note from friend Cyndi Moreno (wife of Pete!)
" I want to thank you for the receipe you sent yesterday/
The Reuben Bake!!!! What a winner it was. I scurried to the store and
picked up the things not in my cupboard, and it was Delightful.
We even had leftovers and they were even better!!! The sauerkraut gets
wetter with the 2nd warming in the microwave, and is just outstanding."
Thanks Cyndi!!!!

I received a bunch of unique animal photos with 'strange'
markings from Grace Elliott (LASD ret and wife of Jack, LASD ret). Thought this
cat amazing looking...
Nice 'stash' dude!
I got this recipe from Gar Austin (LASD ret). It's for cabbage slaw that
used to be made at Chick-fil-A. Instead of the cabbage and shredded carrots I
used Broccoli Slaw that contains carrots and red cabbage also..
Chick-fil-A Cole Slaw
4 t. vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 t. dry mustard
1/4 t. salt
1 cup mayonnaise
2 10oz bags fine shredded cabbage
1/4 c finely chopped carrots
(or 2 12oz bags broccoli slaw!)
Whisk vinegar, sugar, mustard, and salt together until sugar is dissolved.
Add mayonnaise and whisk to mix. Add cabbage and carrots. Mix to combine.
Refrigerate 2 hours.
Serves 6-8
I had two bags of the broccoli slaw but only used one. I made the full
amount of the dressing, not having dry mustard so used 1 t. of regular
mustard. OMGOSH, this is soooo good!! I put most of the dressing on one bag of
the broccoli slaw and saved some for later for sandwiches. I could have eaten
the whole bowl of slaw, but was good and refrigerated it for dinner.
The other bag of broccoli slaw I will stir fry with something good.
Dinner was Omaha Steaks ( http://www.omahasteaks.com/shop/ )
Stuffed Sole with scallops and crabmeat and the broccoli slaw. AWESOMELY
GOOD!!!!
Omaha Steaks is always having specials... fun to shop....
beef/pork/lamb/veal, poultry, variety of seafood, vegetables, seasonings and
sauces, appetizers, sides, desserts, wines, etc. Oh, and pet treats. They have
specials like this one with free shipping:
Just sayin'. They ship in 2 days and everything is frozen in an ice chest
with dry ice. Excellent steaks! Love their foods.
Throw Back Thursday... when I worked at UPS... a company we were doing a pick up from was having their Christmas party and invited us to have some of the food. I think this was 1979....
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

Dress Up Your Pet Day
Dress Up Your Pet Day gives you the opportunity to .... you guessed
it......dress up your pet!
Some pets like to get dressed up. Others, want nothing to do with it. This
day is an opportunity to really dress up your pet(s). Make something for them to
wear. Or, go to a pet store and buy an outfit. It's winter, so something warm
is best.
Sorry, I don't have any ideas on how to dress up goldfish.

Good pics. The gun ownership and granma's attitude were precious.
I'm going to keep that slaw recipe. I'm about out of the last of cooking-spree food.
Have a good one.
I'm sure you will like that slaw recipe L. xo
That jerk in the Oval has no respect for the beautiful furniture in the White House. He piles those big feet up on that Resolut desk which is criminal. You can take the man out of the ghetto but.......well, you know. The IDIOT!
Love that kitty's markings. To funny.
XO Trisha
Makes you wonder what disrespect he has for his other homes! xoxo
