Rain ~ Full Moon ~ Watch ~ Horny Goat ~ PP ~ Sunday's Football ~ Bourbon Pecan Pie w/ Chocolate

Good 42º drizzly cloudy morning. 1/4" rain from overnight. The east coast is sure getting hit hard! Waiting to hear how friends are doing.....

About 5pm-ish Pacific Time there will be the full moon. We will probably have too many clouds to see it, dang!

Yesterday I ordered a new watch... to go with my new sweatshirt!

Yesterday was first a trip to Roe Motors for my service check up on my truck. Nancy picked me up there and we went to Horny Goat for lunch. Jennifer met us there. This restaurant recently opened. Used to be Roux 26 and before that it was Hannah's. This building is in the Grants Pass Historic District. This area dates back to the late 1800's. An historical marker on the building:

I never ate at Roux 26 so don't know of this was part of their decor, but it's beautiful inside...

This eating area is called "the sun room"
Picture fuzzy, but here we are!
Jennifer had pizza....
Nancy had soft fish tacos.....

I had the seafood basket, which was GREAT! Super crispy cod, and shrimp and a wonderful spicy sauce and tarter sauce.  And the wine was good!
The wait staff was great.... Michael and Sean. Really nice~!

I picked up my car at Roe and a quick stop at Safeway and then in Rogue River I noticed the RR on the mountain wasn't an RR anymore.....someone has been screwing with it! It now is a PP! OMG, we live in PP!!!

Tomorrow......

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday Full Moon Day. Ciao.

National Pie Day

^Bourbon Pecan Pie w/ Chocolate Ganache! (Drooling.....)

The American Pie Council created this day simply to celebrate the pie.

National Pie Day is a special day that is set aside to bake and cook all of your favorite pies. On this day, you are also encouraged to bake a few new pie recipes. And most importantly, it's a day to eat pies!

A great way to celebrate National Pie Day is to bake some pies and give them away to friends, neighbors, and relatives. You never know, you may be starting a tradition of pie giving between your friends and family.

Good morning. PP? You live in Patriot's Pointe. Or Patriot's Park. Not sure if the apostrophe goes in or not. Need more coffee to decide.

I like the idea of pie day. It takes my mind back to England. Meeting Gerry on business- all I could afford to eat during the day were hot little pasties sold from little stands around the town. Then, when he was off work, we would splurge on dinner.

It's okay if the pictures are fuzzy. Just not the people. Who don't look fuzzy. They look happy. The world needs more happy.

LOL I am still laughing about Horney Goat! I read it to John and he said he had already read it. I am just now reading it because I've been gone all day.
I love Lydia's ideas for PP Mountain!

Eager for tomorrow's game between the Pats and Broncos. I have friends who are in love with both teams! Has any other team won the Super Bowl more than the Pats? I will be rooting for them and I guess John will be for the Broncos. After all, he was born in Denver so I guess that's a better reason than any. :)
