Good 45º drizzly foggy morning. In the night the rain started
about 1:30am and lasted 2 hours of hard rain. We got 1" ! Today is supposed to
be "cloudy".
Yesterday we actually had sun!
For awhile anyway, then 1pm-ish the clouds moved back in and
the sun went into hiding. About 2:45 it got really windy... by leaves! The
pressure really started dropping by 3pm. Had warmed to 55º
Received this from pal Charlean (Gottesman) Allen (LASD ret)
... keep the Kleenex close for those happy tears...
I have two new items.... one, my sister Betty sent me this
wine glass..."Cheers to Aging Like Fine Wine". GIANT glass too.. looks like it
will hold a bottle of wine! Well, not quite, maybe half a bottle! Thanks
Betty!!!!
And I got myself a new sweatshirt... LOL

Prayers for her please. ♥
Dinner.... I re-hydrated some veggies....just a spoonful of
jalapeños, generous amount of mushrooms, sweet potato bits, spinach, and
vegetable mixture....
I put 1 cup Basmati Rice Medley in the rice cooker with a
pat of butter...
Then I added 3 cups of water and the re-hydrated veggies,
stirred them and turned on the rice cooker and let it do it's
thing.
I drained and heated the pork in the microwave, drizzled it with a bit of infused olive oil and sprinkled on garlic salt. Dinner.. quick
easy simple and OH SO GOOD!
Chair, phone conversations with pals and a quick one with
Brian. Wine, and TV... Chicago Med, Blue Bloods.... The only problem is that my
controller stopped working. It would only turn on the TV and raise and lower the
sound. To change the channels I had to get down on my knees in front of the box
and change them by pushing the buttons.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....................... then I couldn't stop or fast
forward through the commercials on shows I had recorded.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................... I called DirecTV and they had me
test the controller (instructions over the phone) and determined something was
wrong. Duh. So they are FedExing me a new one. Hopefully will be here today or
tomorrow!! Probably not til Monday!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

National Blonde Brownie Day
National Blonde Brownie Day is a special day that is set aside
to bake and eat blonde brownies.
What's a blonde brownie, you ask? Well, as their name implies,
traditional brownies are a dark brown. To make blonde brownies, light brown
sugar is used in the recipe in place of dark brown chocolate.
On National Blonde Brownie Day, its your right and
responsibility to bake blonde brownies, and to eat them. If you don't have time
to bake today, buy some and eat a few extra blonde brownies.
Note: The use of nuts and frosting on your brownies is
optional.

Thank you so much GS!!! xoxo
Yes, I am sending up prayers for Kristen too.
What an adorable little boy in the video. I love love his accent. What a blessing that he has such a good and kind aunt to raise him. Precious darlin little guy.
I always loved watching the Galloping Gourmet. He always shared his dishes with the audience. I used to regularly receive his little recipe cards in the mail.
XO Trisha
Yes, T, I love his accent too!!! Thanks for the prayers!! xoxoxoxoxox I miss the Galloping Gourmet!
Good morning. For the duration,I'll send up a prayer for Kristen when I light the morning candle. For your family, loved ones and her medical team. May it go for her as it did for my mother. She was told to get her affairs in order while I was in high school. She lived long afterwards. She saw her children graduate from college, married and half with children of their own.
Good news is always great to hear!!! xo Thanks L.
