Memorial Day Ceremony Smilebox ~ Andy Pandy ~ GloW ~ Grape Margarita

Good 55º cloudy morning.

Yesterday was the Memorial Day ceremony, Flag unfurling, the 21 gun salute, and the flyover at Riverside Park for Boatnik. The Whitewater Hydroplane Race started at 1pm. It is a 48 mile race in 12 mile increments and boats going 80 miles per hour! I picked up Jennifer and Mike at the Elk's and we headed to the park early (to get a good seat/view on the VIP deck, plus I had VIP parking! Thanks Bri.) Jeannie and Bill joined us. Saw a lot of people I know. Friend Karen Baertschiger was there. Her son Herman is our Republican state senator. Brian Jen and the kids stopped by between carnival rides and eating. Nice day. GREAT weather.

My friend "GloW" (yes, capital W, as her last name is Whitley) has her jewelry in a store on 6th St in Grants Pass called Lamp Light, across the street from the Christian Book Store on at G Street...
Her jewelry will be listed as "Gloria Whitley" and it's on a shelf that faces the front door.

Grape Popsicle Day

Instead of having a grape popsicle, why not a frozen grape margarita?

1 cup black seedless grapes
2 shots tequila
2 shots sweet/sour mix
2 cups ice
lime slices
salt for rimming (optional)
Place all ingredients (except salt & lime slices) in good blender or food processor and purée until blended and slushy...about 2 minutes. Run lime around rim of 2 glasses and dip in salt. Garnish with lime slice.

Really enjoyed your Smile Box! I have to knuckle down and try to make one again. AOL wasn't loading it so I went to Chrome and viewed it there.

Looked like a fun and terrific day! Loved your very patriotic shirt!!

Now I am going to have to try a grape Margarita! Last week I had a jalapeno Margarita and really emjoyed it!

Loved your Smile Box. Good coverage of a beautiful day. I missed your kitchen recipes today. I often wonder who eats all that food. LOL
