New Ride ~ Dave's Martinis ~ Tuna Casserole ~ Ride for Heroes ~ French Bread

Good 26º glad I left the heat on low last night morning! Burrrrrrrr....

Yesterday was interesting. I met up with Joe at Roe (I'm a poet!) Motors to sign the paperwork for my new vehicle. More on that later...
with more pictures. Then to Brian's office to give him the information for my insurance. Then home, let Dude out, do some quick stuff here, and off to Nancy and Dave's to show off the new ride and have a martini. MAN OH MAN, does Dave make a POTENT martini!!! Wow. Good!!!

He used Citadelle Gin
It's flavored with 19 herbs... It says "Deutsch" on the bottle so I assumed it was made in Germany. Not. Made in France. The herbs include coriander from Morocco, orange peel from Mexico, cardamom and nutmeg from India, licorice from China, cubeb pepper from Java, savory/violet/star anise from France, fennel from the Mediterranean, iris from Italy, cinnamon from Sri Lanka, almonds and lemon rind from Spain, cassia from Indochina, angelica from Germany, grains of paradise from West Africa, and cumin from Holland. !!! Very unique flavor. I gave Nancy and Dave some of my pickled with garlic and jalapeño little green tomatoes to make dirty martinis with. For each martini Dave used 3 shots of gin, 2/3 shot of the pickled tomato juice, ice and shook it up. OMG. One of those was wonderful, but two would put you sound asleep!!!! Thanks guys, that was fun!

Jerry's Favorite Tuna Casserole
1/2 pkg large egg noodles
can tuna
20 mushrooms
1-2 cups baby spinach
Jack cheese
cheddar cheese
cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
crushed cheese crackers or crushed potato chips or stuffing mix (butter and chopped onions)

Cook noodles. Drain and place in large bowl. Crispy fry mushrooms and put in bowl with noodles and add tuna along with spinach, sour cream, and mushroom soup. (If you like peas... add some) Mix. Spray casserole dish with cooking spray. Add in tuna/noodle mixture. Sprinkle with cheeses. Top with crushed cheese crackers or crushed potato chips. If using the stuffing mix, drizzle melted butter with chopped onions over the top of the stuffing. Bake 375º 35-40 minutes.

March 21st
National French Bread Day

National French Bread Day celebrates those long, airy loaves with the thin, crispy crust. The French don't actually call them French bread, of course. Their term for their country's signature baked good is "baguette." Great served with a meal like any other bread, or toasted or filled as in many appetizer recipes.

Boy are you ever closed mouth! You've been looking for a new car and you didn't even mention it until it was a done deal? Here John has been looking and shopping and talking about his new Ram for months! lol

Say I went back to yesterday to look but it's not there. Wasn't it a couple of days ago that was another wine maker's bday? I could have sworn it was Gallo!

Will have to make the tuna casserole! I love easy! It was about the only thing I knew how to make as a young bride.

XOXO Trisha

Brian brokered the deal for me. He worked for Penske in So. Cal, and for a couple Chevy dealerships up here before opening his State Farm office. He knows car sales and leases.

Yes, the Gallos.... Ernest's birthday is 3-18 and Julio's the 21st!
