Rain ~ Flu ~ Football Schedule ~ Hot Toddy

Good 44º rainy morning. YEAH Rain!!!!! It started in the night but I didn't hear it. Woke at 3:30 and was having a hard time going back to sleep when the rain started coming down in buckets at 5am. Went back to sleep like a baby!!! Love that sound. Slept til 8!!! So far since yesterday we've gotten over 1/2 ". Still no water in my creeks, but working on it.

I had my meatloaf sandwich yesterday. OMGOOD!!! I put it on a sourdough English muffin. Perfect. Chicken soup for dinner. I like the Progresso Lite soups... had Chicken Pot Pie and added in chopped celery. OMGOOD!!!! A whole can of their lite soups is only 200 calories.

Everyone has the flu bug!!! PJ said Debbie and Tom have it and PatC's family too. Our little Sami has been with a temperature for a couple days. Jeannie with a temp yesterday afternoon also. Everyone is coughing everywhere you go. Take Airborne before going anywhere!!! Keeping my chewable Vitamin C close too.

I cleaned out a big box of old computer stuff yesterday. YEAH! A good feeling to get rid of old instructions and warranties for stuff I no longer have also. This will make my children happy!!!

Here's the football schedule for today and tomorrow....

As for my computer, I have ordered the Windows 7 start up disc from Amazon. It will be here Tuesday, at which time I will take it to Turk so he can re-do my computer. Groan...... In order for me to get photos on my blog today I used another internet connection, Chrome, other than AOL and it seemed to work ok. So far, so good. Fingers crossed.

Historically this date......
1693Mount Etna erupts in Sicily, Italy. A powerful earthquake destroys parts of Sicily and Malta.

1922 – First use of insulin to treat diabetes in a human patient.

1949 – First recorded case of snowfall in Los Angeles, California.

I remember it. Fascinating to me. Christmas tree out in the backyard covered in snow. Neighbor boy, Matthew, threw a snowball at me. I cried! He was several years older, I was just four years old.
