Good 38º foggy morning. Supposed to get in the mid 40º's and 40%
possibility of rain. Stayin' home again! Our summit:
So far this storm has given us almost 1½"..... yes!!
Speaking of weather..... here's Niagara Falls.... frozen! Talk about
"burrrrrrr" !!!
Wow, football yesterday was intense (could you hear me screaming?)
....(sorry Bri) We'll see how the 9ers and Broncos fare today and who will be in
the Conference Championships next Sunday.....
An old friend, Paul Myron, is speaking out re the LA Co Sheriff
debacle...
.... And here is an article with a possible 9 candidates mentioned to run
for the Sheriff's job...
It amazes me that LAPD and LB cops would run. There would be a good lack of
respect for someone not of the Department taking over. Also that Terri McDonald
has only custody experience, NOT with LASD ...and no street knowledge.
Why in the heqq would she be a choice! Jim Hellmold is a friend and a good guy,
but with a young family that I would assume is his priority. Tanaka can't be
trusted. I hope Bob Olmstead gets the nod and the win!! Good luck LA
County!!!
Got this from a friend, Mike Cipolla....
"Just got off the phone with a friend who
lives in North Dakota . She said that
since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still
falling. The temperature is 32 below zero and the north wind is increasing to
near gale force. Wind chill is -59. Her husband has done nothing but look
through the kitchen window and just stare.
She says that if it
gets much worse, she may have to let the drunken bastard in."
Hey, if you live in Oregon you should see this video. My friend Dennis
Richardson is running for Governor. Please give him your support. He's a
decorated Viet Nam vet, a super good guy, knows his stuff. (that is his terrific
wife Cathy in the blue)
PICTURE of the day.... (Kristen.. try this! What fun!)
OK, here's the meatloaf fixins..... First I took two sourdough English
muffins and soaked them in milk (½ & ½ because I didn't have any milk!) Then
mush them all up....
I had grated cheese, frozen thawed shredded zucchini, broccoli slaw, ground
lean beef, and ground pork......
I drained the zucchini and pressed it with a paper towel. The bacon was
chopped...
It all went into a bowl, rings off, and worked so it was well mixed with my
hands...
Then it was put into one large loaf pan and one small pan (to give to
Jeannie to try!)
Next was to mix the mayonnaise with the sweet chili sauce, then add in some
Tabasco spicy steak sauce.
Smooth it on the top of both loaves...
Bake at 350º... small loaf 45 min and the large one 1½ hours.

the patriots will wipe the floor with sea chickens....just my humble prediction. pj
PJ, that is if the 9ers don't win or the Broncos.... All good teams. Will be interesting, for sure! xo
That meat loaf looks good. Have never tried tabasco steak sauce- it is going on the list!
L, I love all Tabasco products... Their spicy soy sauce, steak sauce, green Tabasco sauce, buffalo sauce... and I even have a Tabasco clock in my kitchen! xo
OMG, your meat loaf looked so good! I cooked a prime rib last night as per your directions; 6.75 lbs, 41 min at 550 (for med.) then oven off for two hours. ME, the 'non-cook', cooked a perfect prime rib!! Thanks for your method. We had Spencer's cousins over, along with Clay Reed and his wife. Clay a Wilson grad, and retired San Bernardino Sheriff's Dept.
Tally
Oh good, Tally. Glad your dinner was perfect!!!! I will have to look up Clay in an annual. xo
Bob will bring the department back to the organization that we have known. He worked with me at FPK and knows how to do the right things. My recommendation is based upon personal and professional knowledge and my love of the Department that I was fortunate to serve for 28 1/2 years.. Don S.
Thanks Don!!!!!
