Yesterday was the Law Enforcement/Fire luncheon with a bunch of us retired.
(Speaking of LASD!)
I had a great time meeting two new guys who joined us. One retired in 1981
and one just last year. Cedric was a pilot and trained our Aero Bureau and Sky
Knight pilots, worked Lakewood, ELA, & Search and Rescue. Jon worked
Firestone and the Wayside Range and knew my Jerry. He said some really neat
things about Jerry and his admiration for him. Got me all teary inside. The "war
stories" ran rampant and were so fun to listen to.
BFF's hubby, Billy Boy has 'walking pneumonia' determined after seeing the
doctor yesterday. He's under house arrest and being monitored by his Nurse
Ratchet. (LOL, sorry J!) You better mind her BB and get well!!
What a waste of time, I watched the People's Choice Awards last night. Just
a bunch of BS. Hollywood with the help of thousands of incredibly awe
struck people patting themselves on the back. Why don't they put all that time
and money to good use and help people who need it or make our returning soldiers
lives better. Especially those wounded! Don't they make enough $$, they have to
have trophies too?

Here's a good sounding dip... Blue Cheese Ranch
1½ cups sour cream
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 (1 oz) pouch Ranch seasoning (such as Hidden Valley)
4 oz crumbled blue cheese (or crumbled Feta if you don't like
blue)
Combine all, refrigerate until ready to serve... Serve with spicy
Sun Chips or veggies....
