Lots of turkeys out and about yesterday...

Here is the Smilebox I made of our day Sunday at Jennifer's...
Today is my friend Jan Esquivel's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAN!!! She is
the former President of our JCRW.
Dinner last night
was a combo... Spam (don't make that face!) There are several of their flavors I
like:
So, last night I chose the black
pepper....
I diced the Spam,
heated some oil, added the Spam and some of the lentil veggie salad Jennifer
gave me to take home. Heated that with some Mandarin Orange cooking sauce,
filled a dish with baby spinach, and topped that with the Spam mixture...
I also added some
of the stuffed tomatoes Dee gave me. OMGOOD!!!!

National Cherries
Jubilee Day
National Cherries Jubilee Day will make cherry lovers jubilant. If you
enjoy cherries, you must absolutely love this day. Cherries Jubilee is easy to
make. All you need is a can of cherry pie filling, some cognac (or brandy) and
vanilla ice cream.
1 can cherry pie filling
1/4 cup liquor, warmed
1 pint vanilla ice cream
In a skillet, heat cherries over moderate heat to just warm
through. Pour in warmed liqueur, then flame the pan to burn off alcohol. Remove
cherries from heat. Scoop vanilla ice cream into large cocktail glasses or
dessert dishes and spoon cherries down over ice
cream.

What a beautiful spot for a party! Love the Garden/Yard and the fur babies.
Stuffed tomatoes? I thought they were Cherry peppers.. hm? Learn something new every day. Thanks for the Smilebox! t&g
If you were around during WWII when meat was rationed you would not like Spam. We had Spam 2 or 3 times a week. Because it was not rationed. Pat T
Hmmmmmm negative. I was NOT around during WWII and I like Spam and all the new flavors. Sue
WOW! You get some great photos! Hope you had time for some fun while all that photo taking. Oh those homes in Oregon have such wonderful views and scenry. Love the Fall leaves there.
Right now not too happy about our Fall leaves. Our Carrot Wood trees drop their little dry leaves all in the pool and it's really a pain.
Loved all their doggies and kitty.
The food looked wonmderful!
John likes Spam too. That black pepper kind looked interesting.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAN! Yes, we are FB friends. :)
I was always in love with Gordon McRae. Sheila doesn't look too bad for 89.
Hugs, Trisha
Tammy, Dee filled the cherry tomatoes with stuffed olives and cheese, some had jalapeno peppers in the olives. GOOD!!!! I'll ask her for more details. xo
T, thanks. We are fortunate to have good views here! That honey and the garlic spam are good. Stir fry it up with veggies and serve on rice. YUMMMM! xo
Did I spot a picture by you of a bald eagle?
L, do you mean on the Smilebox? That was an osprey.
