Good 45º 92% humidity morning. 80% rain predicted for today.
Rained on and off yesterday. Nice.
Yesterday at 6pm....
I was watching Restaurant Impossible last night on the Food Channel. Robert
Irvine is a chef who goes into failing restaurants and works miracles. Fun
show. Anyway, a commercial came on for Herdez new cooking sauces. I have used
Herdez salsas and sauces for years but cracked up when this female
with no Spanish accent at all pronounced it "Air-dees". You Spanish speakers out
there... shouldn't it be "Hare-diz"??? Oh well.... whatever...
And while I'm blabbing..... when I was very young my mother taught me..."If
you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" ! Bottom line, if you
don't like something on my blog, keep it to yourself. I don't care. Let me
reiterate... I DON'T CARE.
Yesterday I neglected to offer my condolences to the Raiders
(yeah, right!) Go Broncos!!!
And don't forget tomorrow night..
OMG, Laura (Vincent) Virant... former Temple City neighbor, posted this on
her FB page....The Don't Walk sign has become vulgar! ... or opinionated! LOL
My pal Linda Nantz will be here today for a few days. Yes! We will be
dining at Blondie's, some home cooked, and movies and popcorn in our comfy
chairs!
Today was my grandmother's birthday. Her name was Isabelle Dunbar Mills.
She was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1872. We called her 'Nanno'. She was fun, so
nice, a great cook (oh those shortbread bars!!! and Scotch Cherry Cake!). I
think she's the only person in the family who ended up shorter than me! She
passed away in 1964. Here she is in 1958 with me, my older sister's daughter
MaryAnn, Marion's son Andy, and older sister's Nancy.
Today is also the 19th wedding anniversary of two very special people...
Gracie and Jack Elliott. Jack retired LASD and Gracie ret LASD SR. HAPPY
ANNIVERSARY KIDS! (BTW, looked for a picture of your two at the Laughlin thing,
but Ike said you were on the list but never had your picture taken! Shame on
you!!! If you go next year, get one taken!) xox
PICTURE of the day...
Historically this date...
And

UCLA

All I know. Happy

Have fun! I am going to have to google Blondies. Is it in Rogue River?
Dunbar? That was Kevin Costner's name in Dances With Wolves, wasn't it? Had no idea it was Catherine Zeta Jones birthday too. Love t&g
Hi Tammy... Blondies is in Grants Pass. Yes, Kevin's name was Dunbar, or as his girlfriend said, "Dumb-bear" ... xo
Heather Locklear is one of my FB friends. She is a conservative. Wow!
I have always thought Cat. Z. Jones was one of the most beautiful women on earth! Loved her in Zorro! A shame they are getting divorced. I read where she is bi-polar.
If Juliet Prowse is now an American citizen would she be an African-American??
Beautiful Eagle pic!
Have a wonderful visit with your friend!
XO Trisha
Love seeing your Nanno.
I only had one grandparent growing up and it was my mom's mom, Grandma. And I am glad YOU DON'T CARE cuz life is too short to care about what people think about you! LOL
Have a great day, cold, windy and cloudy out here in Wimer. Staying home and getting ready for a quick trip over the hill............
No not my b'day but high school reunion . Have fun at Blondie's with your friend.
