Ok, I continue my campaign to get friends and family to quit smoking. It's killing you!   Cigarette smoking causes about 1 in every 5 deaths in the United States each year. It's the main preventable cause of death and illness in the United States.
Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body, including the heart, blood vessels, lungs, eyes, mouth, reproductive organs, bones, bladder, and digestive organs. On top of that, why do you want to smell like an ashtray?????? ICK.

PICTURE of the day...
How about this scoot, guys?? A 14 cylinder radial engine. WOW!

Yesterday we were out early, 8:30 (early for me!) and Dude had his run then I mowed the grass, front and back, fixed a sprinkler, watered, filled water tubs for the wild critters... I have 3. The gray squirrels, deer, wild turkeys, and a variety of birds partake of the water. Came in too cool off. Was 81º by 10am. Stayed in the rest of the day except for moving the sprinklers around the yard and running to town to mail a card at the PO. At 2pm it was 97º.

Oregon Fire Statistics:
January 1, 2013, through today, July 9, 2013*
Lightning-caused fires: 51 fires burned 19 acres
Human-caused fires: 268 fires burned 987 acres
Total: 319 fires burned 1006 acres

ODF personnel are currently fighting fires in Alaska and Colorado. The Oregon Department of Forestry and its sister agencies in the other western states routinely share firefighting resources as needed. The arrangement is reciprocal: If ODF needs outside help on fires in Oregon, its partner agencies will provide personnel and equipment when possible.

All the fires in our area are under control now.

I bought the makings for pina coladas for my birthday- still haven't made them. I have one of the big old fashioned blenders. I need to update to the smaller kind like my Daughter has but first I have to replace my red toaster. It quit on me. Don't you have a red toaster? Dinner looked yummy! t and g

This is my new summer drink- you might like it- it's so refreshing: Limoncello, over ice a splash of half and half and tonic. Stir. Serve with a lemon twist and a straw! The straw makes it taste better! Tammy

Pina Coladas are a tad sweet for me, but good. I do love lemoncello. Made my own. WOW! Used Everclear... next time will just use vodka! I'll try your version. xo

Sorry I didn't send in a comment yesterday but I sure made up for it with emails! LOL Had a doctor and dentist app yesterday so was running!

I know you do your smoking rants because you care about your friends but honestly we are all adults and know the dangers. I enjoy the few I do smoke, especially with my wine. I know it isn't healthy for me but then there are other factors in life that aren't healthy either. So I believe in everything in moderation and do keep it to a minimum.

YUM! Love the looks of your dinner! I am so thankful for Omaha. No thinking or much planning on busy days and portions just right.

Stay cool!!

Of this I am certain- there will be no cigarettes in heaven. If we want heaven on earth- why smoke?

Thank you for nagging loved ones about smoking. Everyone dies- but smoking raises the odds that it will be a miserable passage from this life to the next. Or so it has been in my family.
