Battling Bastards of Benghazi ~ Baked Alaska

Good 39º gloomy cloudy morning.

Yesterday I helped PatT stuff envelopes. Went quickly. Then to pick up my truck at the dealership. What a joy to have my black beauty back!!! Soooooooooooo much more comfortable than the loaner! Went shopping for a couple things, picked up a package at the PO, then home. I called All Natural Pest Control to see about getting some kind of bait that would kill the critters and at the same time not harm Bruiser if he decided to chomp on one after it was baited. Their guy is coming out today to appraise the situation and get something that will do the job.

Dinner last night was leftovers. Sorry.

This poem just in written form was sent to me by Ron Weisberger and the author was anonymous, so I researched it and found the following two videos:
"The poem was written by John Roberts, a close friend and ret. UDT/ST1 Officer."
Version 1

Version 2 (the very last line is the BEST!)

Two people, related to LASD share a birthday today, Cathy Renner

(ret with Bobbi Jo) and Wilma Nelson (wife of Mike, ret). Happy Birthday ladies!

Much better to have Baked Alaska be a story about cooking instead of global warming):-

mmmm Baked Alaska is served aboard Carnival Cruises on Friday night's gala dinner. AFTER the surf and turf! :)

Lots of news happened on this date. The photo of the restaurant looks so much like The Ports of Call restaurant in San Pedro.

So sad about the Columbia.

Just read all about Lisa Marie. I hope the fourth marriage lasts. She looks just like her mother then at certain angles like her dad.
