Yesterday I took Maggs into the vets for her pedi/mani and I went to the grocery store. Bought the supplies for the Superbowl menu for Brian's party... I'm taking taquitos, guacamole, salsa dip, "Butt-ta-lo" wings (my grandson Jack always called buffalo that!), and a blue cheese dip. Stopped at Ace to inquire about critter poison for my car's engine compartment. Still deciding about that.

I saw my friend Joan in town. Her darling Gary passed away in December. We had a good (((HUG))) Her sister is up here staying with her and she had a mouse problem get into her car and it's costing her $$ to get hers fixed too! Brent did call me yesterday and said my car would be done today and it's $200 less than quoted! Yeah. He said it was only $647. I laughed and said, "647F... drunk in public." LOL. Hard to forget that.

Dinner was Jeannie inspired (she made tacos night before) so I cut up a chicken/cheese/spinach patty and slowly sauteéd it with leek until done. Heated flour tortillas, added the meat leek some cabbage and tomato and some Chipotle sandwich sauce.

DARNED GOOD!!

All I know. Happy Thursday. Meeting up with PatT today to stuff envelopes for JCRW. Then to pick up my "de-crittered" ride! Ciao.

January 31st
Brandy Alexander Day

The Brandy Alexander is a luxurious, creamy cocktail that has been popular throughout the 20th Century. This is the Brandy version of the gin-based Alexander cocktail, it's warmer and silkier and absolutely perfect for winter afternoons. The Brandy Alexander is also a luscious after dinner drink that pairs best with chocolate desserts.

1 oz cream
1 oz brandy
Ground nutmeg for garnish

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
Strain into chilled glass and garnish with a dusting of nutmeg.

Thank you for the shout out for the blog. You are a dear.

On business in the Netherlands, our hosts at dinner said that given modern environmental regulations, it is a good thing they developed further back in history.

Sue,
Been typing as little as possible on this darn tiny keyboard.
I too enjoyed Lydia's buterfly video.
I have never been afraid to open an email but almost never download any attachments. Usually only for Republican business that I need but then I know who has sent them. None other.
John I think downloads anything and watches all videos so if we get a virus it's his fault! :(

Glad you are getting your ride back all critter free. What a bummer of an expense right after Christmas and tax time! grrrrr

John was telling me he also loves seeing pics and hearing about Bruiser. Oh yes, he said to tell you Bruiser hasn't been doing his job! He needs to station himself out in the car port and guard it! :)

XO Trisha
