Car Broke! ~ Stork Alternative ~ Quinoa & Salmon ~ Mom

Good 38º cloudy morning.  Supposed to stay somewhat clear, fog, and no rain for a few. The sky here about 3:30 yesterday and then about 5:30....

Wow, yesterday was a PAIN IN THE NECK! I had my computer loaded in my truck ready to take it to Turk and my truck wouldn't start! I called the car dealer and told them what it was not doing/and doing. Said it might be battery or some electrical problem. Called AAA to get a jump and take the truck in. Said I'd get a car to drive and they'd keep it over night to check it. Well, Clyde, from Precission Towing showed up and the danged engine would not turn over! I noticed this mess in the engine on the alternator .... hmmmm.....

He left to get the flatbed to take my baby into Grants Pass.

FYI, Precission Towing in Rogue River (a AAA tow) is run by Clyde and Joann. SUPER nice neat folks. Retirement age but still working hard. Highly recommend!

So, after depositing my truck at Roe Motors in GP I was given a brand new GMC Terraine, only 104 miles! ,  to drive while the beast is removed from the engine and a new "wiring harness" is in place, due to excessive critter chewing on the wires! Groan...Gonna be $$ !

Here is a couple's idea to an alternative to the stork theory... thanks Pat Kelly for this! So funny. Photographer Patrice Laroche, a Canadian photographer, created this series of photos of his wife Sandra throughout her pregnancy, taking the pictures in the exact same setting. So funny! Ingenious!

Here's an interesting video...short...re how the Catholic Church will be a big stumbling block in the White House's ACA (Arrogant Contemptuous Asshole) and his plans for a nation of socialism !! (thank you Castros for this!!)

The Bruiser was back yesterday, lounging in my rocking chair, but then left again late in the afternoon. He'll be back.....

My Mother, Margaret Laney, passed away 19 years ago today. She never got to know any of her precious great-grandchildren! I love and miss you Mom ♥

This taken in about 1974 with Kristen and Brian.
Dinner was easy... Quinoa, water, seasonings, canned salmon, broccoli, tomatoes, and a drizzle of mayonnaise and lemon sauce...

Everything but the tomatoes and sauce went into the rice cooker. I added some garlic powder, sea salt, and fresh pepper, and a little extra water than the directions called for. Whisk together lemon, lemon zest, and mayonnaise and drizzle over all. REALLY GOOD!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Maggie gets a 'mani/pedi' today and I have to grocery shop. Ciao.

Good Morning!
Wow, can't believe it about your car. What a mess. "The Bruise" better start sleeping out there to protect it. Ha.
The "pregnant lady" photos are a hoot. Such a clever idea. Made me smile.
And, of course, dinner looked pretty yummy, you little creator.
Dick Martin always made me laugh on Laugh In. He acted so stupid, how could you not laugh.
Nice picture of your Mom and "kids". I know how much you miss her.
Last, but not least, you better always call me back. LOL
Have a wonderful day. Chat later. xo
