Smoothie ~ Low Fat Cake ~ Stir Fry Leftovers ~ 1989 Marine Revisited!

Good 43º cloudy and drizzly morning. Predictions are rain for a week....

My smoothie yesterday morning was interesting, and good! Spinach leaves, cantaloupe, flax seed, and juice from the tomatoes I cooked for marinara sauce. With the control on the smoothie machine I heated it up slightly. Drinking cold icy smoothies in the cold morning are not fun! I am feeling 100% better now that I am back drinking vegetable smoothies in the morning!

From Gator....
A Wish To Live Forever
I met a fairy today. He said he would grant me one wish.
"I want to live forever", I said.
"Sorry", said the fairy. "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that."
"Fine", I said, "then I want to die as soon as Congress gets it's head out of it's ass."
"You crafty bastard", said the fairy. (LOL)

Rush Limbaugh's response to the General Petraeus & Allen scandle is an instant classic:
"Too many generals taking orders from their privates" !!
The turkeys out in my yard make me laugh...

Yesterday I made a cake I saw Hungry Girl (www.hungrygirl.com) make on Dr. Oz.... no fat no eggs...
The ingredients are a box of 'moist' white cake mix and...
12 oz (1 1/2 cups) flavored seltzer water (I used lemon flavored mineral water)

In a large bowl mix the two together, pour into a 9x13 pan (next time I will put in a muffin pan) sprayed with cooking spray, bake 35-40 min (watch, browns fast) at 350º.

Sooooo easy and so good and moist and light! Figure friendly!!
..... And no frosting needed! Put some berries on top. Yes!
Dinner was a mixture of leftovers....
cooked 'Mexican' flavored Uncle Ben's rice
cooked chicken thighs cut up (skinless boneless cooked in crockpot 8 hours on low in green enchilada sauce)
broccoli slaw, grape tomatoes, and spinach all sauteéd in olive oil. GOOD!!!

Yesterday I stopped by Brian's office. I had found his Marine Corps cover and had bought a new 'chin strap' for it. His eyes lit up. Been a few years, about 23 to be exact!, since he wore it....

He's still a cutie!!! I told him I wanted the "serious I mean business" look! Now he looks like he could be the Sgt. Major!

BTW, if you are in the Grants Pass area Brian has a box for Toys for Tots in his State Farm Office on Allen Creek in the Albertson's shopping center. Bring a toy or two and help fill it up.

All I know. Nuff said. TGIF. Ciao

Sue,
Rush sure does come up with some good lines! When I heard that on his show I LOL! Isn't it the truth! MEN!!! Don't they even THINK when they get involved it could ruin their careers? Oh well it didn't seem to hurt Clintoon's popularity!!

Brian does look cute in his hat "cover". :)

That cake is amazing looking! I'll bet it was yummy too!

Your leftovers look better than my firsties! :)

Thanks T!
The Bruise is having surgery today. All his tests came back negative for problems. I will probably pick him up later. xo
